Browns vs. Bears Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction

Following another wild weekend of football, NFL Week 15 continues on Sunday with a number of compelling matchups, including a sneaky under-the-radar game in Chicago between the Bears and Cleveland Browns at Soldier Field.

The Browns are coming off a close loss to the Titans on the road, but there were some encouraging things to take from that game. On the other side, the Bears are coming off a narrow defeat at the hands of the Packers, but Chicago was able to compete for 60 minutes at Lambeau Field in a difficult spot, so there should be positives for the Bears to take from that loss as well.

With the Browns looking to finish the season strong and Chicago looking to maintain its spot in a very crowded NFC playoff picture, let’s get into our Browns vs Bears predictions for this Week 15 on Sunday.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Even though they appear to be the inferior side on paper, the Browns are only underdogs by 7.5 points against Chicago on the NFL odds. Much of that is due to the Browns’ current situation at quarterback, along with the weather forecast projecting some serious wind and temperatures that could potentially be in the single digits by kickoff. With both offences unlikely to be operating at their best given the ominous weather forecast, it’s not a surprise at all that this total has been bet down to 40.5 in this one.

The Browns are just 5-8 against the spread this season, while the Bears are 8-5 ATS on the year. Games involving the Bears typically go over the total, with the Over cashing in seven of their 13 games played to this point (with one push). Cleveland has also generally been an Over team more often than not, with seven of its 13 games going above the number thus far.

Cleveland Browns

Credit where it’s due, Shedeur Sanders has steadily improved in recent weeks and the rookie genuinely put out a very strong performance against the Titans in Week 14. However, Sanders could take a step back this week on the road, especially with the weather making it hard for the Browns to throw the ball downfield in any real capacity. Based on what we know about the Browns’ coaching staff and the conditions in this game, Cleveland should look to keep the ball on the ground and grind this one out in a game that should be played in the mid-to-high 30s.

Chicago Bears

It’s clear that the Bears’ offence has upgraded massively with Ben Johnson at the controls, and while they ultimately failed to punch in the game-tying touchdown against the Packers, they still moved the ball up and down the field at will in the second half. However, Caleb Williams and this Bears offence have a tougher task in store this week against a ferocious Browns front seven that should be able to generate consistent pressure and be disruptive throughout the contest.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Browns vs. Bears?

There is some uncertainty surrounding how both teams will handle the weather, but we have more faith in Chicago’s offence to produce at home, especially after seeing how it handled the cold in Green Bay a week ago. With that in mind, let’s look for the Bears to grind out a victory in a lower-scoring affair by a score in the region of 24-16.
