The Denver Broncos dropped to 3-5 last week after losing 34-27 at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons. For a second straight week, they dug themselves a big hole and while they were able to escape with a win against the Los Angeles Chargers, they couldn’t pull it out against the Atlanta Falcons. They now have to pack their bags again and take a trip to Las Vegas to face the 5-3 Raiders. Las Vegas won their last game against the Los Angeles Chargers 31-26 and has some good momentum going into this contest.

NFL Week 10 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The over is 4-0 in the Broncos last four games after an against the spread (ATS) loss in the game prior and 5-1 in their last six following a straight up loss. It is also 4-1 in their last five games overall. Denver is 6-0 ATS in their past six games following an ATS loss and 5-1 in their last six against AFC opponents.

Meanwhile, the over is 4-0 in their past four games after a straight up win in the game prior and 6-1-1 in their last eight games overall. Las Vegas is also 4-0 ATS in their past four games against AFC West opponents but are just 14-29 ATS in their last 43 games when coming in as the home favorite.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos only had six points entering the final frame against Atlanta and while they came to life, it was too little, too late. That was against Atlanta’s 28th ranked defence. Lock finished the day with 313 yards to go along with two touchdowns and one interception, although those numbers are skewed given the success he had in garbage time.

It was their run game that was never able to get on track, as Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay combined for 14 carries and only 41 yards. This 26th ranked Broncos offence has to find ways to run the ball effectively if they want a chance as they’ve been putting too much on the shoulders of Drew Lock of late. Also, they will again have to work on their red zone offence because too many times this season this team has been settling for field goals instead of touchdowns.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders were able to pick up their second straight victory after their big division win over the Chargers. Derek Carr had just 165 yards but had two touchdowns as they leaned on the rushing attack to get the win. They ran the ball 26 times and totaled 160 yards and two touchdowns against the 16th ranked Chargers run defence and they will have to continue their efficient offence here.

The Raiders defence has to step up eventually in order for them to be more consistent. Their defence allows a whopping 28.6 points per game to their opponents, which is unacceptable for a team that has playoff aspirations. And they were lucky last week as the Chargers looked like they won the game twice on the last second, getting stopped at the goal line. We’ll see if that stop helps the defence build some momentum heading into this week.
