All the good feelings Jacksonville backers had for quarterback Blake Bortles may have evaporated after he tossed two more picks against the Titans last Sunday. He finished the season with five interceptions in his last two games.

The Buffalo Bills hope their first playoff appearance in 17 years won’t be a short one when they travel to Florida to take on the AFC South champion Jacksonville Jaguars.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Jaguars opened as 7-point favourites on the Sports Interaction NFL odds board but the line was quickly bet up two points to land at Bills +9. The total opened at 40 but dropped a half point since.

Jacksonville’s lost its final two games and finished the season 10-6 straight up and 9-7 against the spread with an even 8-8 over/under record.

Buffalo won three of its last four games and completed the campaign 9-7 SU and 9-6-1 ATS. The Bills went 3-5 SU and 4-4 ATS in their eight away games in 2017. About 65 percent of Sports Interaction players are back the Bills to cover as 9-point underdogs.

The Jags are tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the fourth shortest odds to win the AFC at +800 on the Sports Interaction NFL futures board. Only the Tennessee Titans have longer odds to win the AFC than the Bills at +3300.

Buffalo Bills

The health of running back LeSean McCoy is the big story in Buffalo after he had to leave last Sunday’s game against Miami because of an ankle injury. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that McCoy would be a game-time decision to play against the Jaguars.

McCoy leads the Bills in yards gained from scrimmage with 1586 this season. Tight end Charles Clay is the next closest player with 558 or 1028 fewer than McCoy.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags failed to score an offensive touchdown in their season finale against Tennessee. Eight of their 12 offensive possessions ended in punts, three in turnovers and one with a made field goal.

Jacksonville finished with the league’s best running game but the team averaged just 3.3 yards per carry in its last two contests of the regular season.
