The Ravens are my picks to win the Super Bowl and opened as 6-point favourites on the NFL odds with a high total of 52.5 points.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Pittsburgh leads the AFC North at 6-2 and Baltimore (6-3) is a game back in the loss column, and those two rivals have not played either of their two matchups yet. Cincinnati (4-5) sits third and still has two meetings with the Steelers left as well, so the division isn’t completely out of reach. On the current odds to win, the Ravens are -185, Steelers +200 and Bengals +850.

Any shot Cincinnati has would all but disappear, though, by being swept by Baltimore as in Week 6 the Ravens were 41-38 OT winners in Cincy. That was one of the wild games of the year. The Ravens were down 10 with about five minutes in regulation as it was. In OT, usually reliable Bengals kicker Evan McPherson missed a 53-yard attempt to win the game, and immediately after Derrick Henry had a 51-yard run to put the Ravens in position for their winning field goal. Which Justin Tucker made from 24 yards out. There were more than 700 yards passing and nine touchdown passes in the game. Now you see why such a high total for Thursday.

The Ravens lead the all-time series 31-27, have covered five straight and won three in a row.

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati is nearly out of a 1-4 hole as it won for the third time in four games Sunday, 41-24 over visiting Las Vegas. Joe Burrow only had 251 yards passing but five touchdowns – his second game already this year with five. All the other NFL quarterbacks have one combined. Chase Brown has emerged as the team’s No. 1 running back over free-agent pickup Zack Moss, who was out injured Sunday, and Brown had a career-high 120 rushing yards and scored his sixth TD in the past six games. The Bengals’ 41 points were a season high, and they had totaled only 38 in the previous two games. Excellent No. 2 WR Tee Higgins has missed the past two with a quad injury. Defensively, Trey Hendrickson had a career-high four sacks Sunday, the third Bengals player ever with at least four in a game, and now leads the league with 11. All four of Cincinnati’s wins this year have come against teams under .500. The Bengals are 7-3 in their past 10 November games.

Baltimore Ravens

Denver had not allowed more than 26 points in a game this season and that was Week 1, but the high-powered Ravens scored 41 at home Sunday in blowing the Broncos out. The 1-2 punch of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry was unstoppable again as Jackson had has many TD passes as incompletions (three) for a perfect QB rating, and Henry rushed for 106 yards and two scores. Henry is the first player since Seattle’s Shaun Alexander won MVP in 2005 with at least 1,000 rushing yards and 10 rushing TDs through nine games. Henry is averaging 116.9 yards per game on the ground, which would be an NFL record in a player’s first season with a team. Baltimore now has 42 straight games with at least 100 yards rushing, one shy of the league record. The Ravens are the first team ever to average at least 250 passing yards and 190 rushing yards in a nine-game span within any season. The Bengals allow 130.4 rush yards per game. Baltimore is 5-1-1 ATS in its past seven.
