The second biggest game of the year is coming up on Sunday, February 3rd. Of course, we're talking about Puppy Bowl XV.
The Puppy Bowl is finally here, sports fans. At 3pm on Super Bowl Sunday, Animal Planet will present Team Ruff and Team Fluff, both competing for puppy glory in their annual Puppy Bowl. The fun starts before kick-off with a Puppy Bowl pregame show featuring broadcasting legends Rodt Weiler, James Hound and Sheena Inu giving their insights and analysis.
Rufferee Dan Schachner will return for Puppy Bowl XV, and he’ll have Shirley the rescue sloth as his assistant. The sidelines will be crammed this season, with a baby porcupine cheering squad for Team Ruff, and a lone capybara who will be amping up Team Fluff. To make things more interesting, and entire crew of baby kangaroos will be there to cheer on the puppy athletes. Viewer can also look forward to the Kitty Halftime Show, which this year features Adam Feline of Purr-oon 5. Get it?
Puppy Bowl was started by Animal Planet to feature adoptable puppies and kittens, and it’s been a huge success over the last 14 years. In that time, every animal featured in the game (over 500) have been adopted. Puppy Bowl XV features 93 pups from 51 shelters from over 20 states and territories.
