Missouri vs. Oklahoma Bracket Prediction: March Madness Odds
The Missouri Tigers basketball team has been all over the place this season. They seem just as likely to beat a top ranked team as they are to lose to a bottom feeder. With three losses in their last six games, the Tigers will have a chance to get back on track on Saturday when they face an Oklahoma Sooners squad that has lost five of their last six games.
Missouri Tigers vs. Oklahoma Sooners NCAA Tournament Point Spread and Betting
The line hasn’t inched a bit, as Oklahoma opened, and continues to be, 2-point favourites over Missouri. Neither team has been great against the spread this season, although Missouri has managed to cover in 11 of their last 16 games against Oklahoma. The Sooners haven’t covered in seven straight games. Oklahoma has won the last two games between these teams, but they haven’t faced each other since 2019. Both teams are experienced in the Tournament with Oklahoma’s best showing coming as runners up in 1988, while Missouri made it to the Elite Eight in 2009.
(9) Missouri Tigers
After two losing seasons, head coach Cuonzo Martin has Missouri back in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers started out the season 5-0, with all five wins coming against teams that would eventually make it to the Tournament this year. After that, Missouri has been all over the place. They haven’t been able to string together any meaningful winning streaks and were bounced from the SEC Tournament by the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Tigers defence is competent enough to keep teams from getting hot on the outside and the offence has the ability win battles around the basket. Dru Smith and Xavier Pinson both average a team-high 14.1 points per game. Smith also leads Missouri in assists (3.9) and steals (2).
(8) Oklahoma Sooners
Oklahoma has been faltering at the wrong time. The Sooners have dropped five of their last six games to finish 7th in the Big 12. Despite their recent play though, Oklahoma has actually been a bit of a surprise this season. They were expected to finish in the bottom half of the Big 12, but before their recent struggles they had won eight of nine games, including a victory over SEC champs, Alabama. The Sooners offence is capable on the outside and more than capable on the offensive glass. Austin Reaves has had a breakout season and leads Oklahoma in points per game (17.7), rebounds (5.7) and assists (4.7). Reaves was the fifth highest scorer in the Big 12 and had the third most assists in the conference.
