The Jayhawks carried on their late-season dominance, rolling to a 16-point victory over Penn. They’ll take on a Pirates team that erupted for 94 points in a double-digit triumph over No. 9 NC State and is a pair of one-point losses short of a seven-game winning streak.

NCAA Tournament Odds and Betting Analysis

The Jayhawks have been outstanding of late, with four consecutive wins and nine straight-up victories over their previous 10 games; each of their last four triumphs have come by double digits, and they’ve covered the spread in each one. Kansas is also a red-hot 8-0-1 ATS in its last 10 games vs. teams above .600. Seton Hall has been even more bankable from a betting perspective, having posted six consecutive covers overall.

This one could be a high-scoring affair given how both teams have approached totals of late. The Jayhawks are 5-2-1 O/U in their past eight games and have exceeded the total six times in their last seven contests following a successful cover. If Seton Hall’s 94-point showing against the Wolfpack wasn’t evidence enough, the Pirates are also 9-2 O/U in their last 11 and have seven overs and a push in their previous nine NCAA Tournament games.

Seton Hall Pirates

Fast starts have been a hallmark of the Pirates’ offensive approach this season; they ranked 15th in the nation in first-half scoring at 39.1 points per game and racked up an absurd 51 in the opening 20 minutes against NC State. Seton Hall has also consistently followed up wins with good showings, having covered four straight times following a straight-up victory. But the Pirates have been even worse at the line than the Jayhawks, shooting just 69.8 percent on the year.

Kansas Jayhawks

Few teams are as efficient from every spot on the floor as the Jayhawks, who posted a 57.9 percent effective field-goal rate during the season that ranked seventh overall. Kansas also ranked 12th from 3-point territory (40.3 percent) and 15th from 2-point range (56.3 percent). About the only place Kansas struggled offensively was at the free-throw line, where the Jayhawks converted just 70.6 percent of their attempts.
