The final game of the second round belongs to the East Region. The Oregon Ducks are fresh off an 81-52 rout of Liberty, while the Arizona Wildcats smoked Akron 93-65.

Arizona is a 3.5-point favourite to win on the NCAAB odds, with the total set at 153.5.

Oregon vs. Arizona NCAA Tournament Point Spread and Betting

It won’t be an easy tournament path for the winner of this game, who will play either No. 1 Duke or No. 9 Baylor in the Sweet 16. Oregon last reached the Sweet 16 in 2017 when they made it as far as the Final Four, while the Wildcats lost in the Sweet 16 last year.

The NCAAB futures board has the Ducks listed at +15,000 to win the tournament and Arizona at +5000. Oregon won the first ever tournament in 1939, although only eight teams competed. The Wildcats’ lone tournament championship was in 1997 when they beat Kentucky in overtime in the title game.

Oregon Ducks (5)

Oregon’s tournament opener was essentially settled by halftime, as the Ducks led Liberty 44-20 at the break. Jackson Shelstad scored 15 of his game-high 17 points in the first half, while Oregon’s defence held Liberty shooters to 22 per cent from beyond the arc. Nate Bittle also had a strong performance, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds before the Ducks pulled their starters with 3:44 left to go. Experience could be a factor for Oregon as four players (Shelstad, Keeshawn Barthelemy, Kwame Evans Jr. and Jadrian Tracey) have played a combined eight NCAA Tournament games.

Arizona Wildcats (4)

Arizona led Akron by 10 at the break in the first round, before outscoring the Zips by 20 points in the second half. Jaden Bradley, Trey Townsend and Caleb Love all hit 3-pointers within the first two minutes of the game as the Wildcats overwhelmed Akron from the start. Bradley finished with a game-high 19 points, Townsend added 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting and Love had 10 points and seven rebounds. Long-distance shooting was key for Arizona as they shot 12-of-23 from beyond the arc.
