Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction, NBA Odds
A modest six-game schedule in the NBA on Tuesday night is headlined in part by a Western Conference showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder at 8 p.m. ET. Golden State comes in with a 6-5 record, while Oklahoma City is looking every bit like the defending champion at 10-1.
The Warriors have dominated the head-to-head series in recent years, boasting a 12-5 record since the 2020-21 campaign. However, the tide has predictably turned. The Thunder are 4-2 in the last six meetings dating back to November 2023.
OKC is a 7.5-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with the total set at 228.5.
Warriors vs. Thunder NBA Betting Odds
Golden State is 2-4 against the spread in its last six overall, but they are 4-0 ATS in the previous four head-to-head encounters. Oklahoma City is 5-1 ATS in its past six contests after starting the season with a 1-4 mark. As for the Over/Under, the Over is 7-4 in Golden State’s games so far this season, 4-2 in OKC’s last six, and 9-1 in the latest 10 head-to-head.
In addition to the more traditional lines, the Warriors’ team total is 110.5 (Over -110, Under -115), and the Thunder’s team total is 118.5 (Over -105, Under -120).
Golden State Warriors
Especially from the Warriors’ perspective, perhaps the most important factor to note about Tuesday’s contest is that it is in Oklahoma City. Head coach Steve Kerr’s crew has been borderline hopeless on the road this season. Since tipping off its season with a road win over the Lakers, Golden State has lost five games in a row away from the Chase Center. Those five setbacks have come by 20, 10, five, five, and 25 points. The Indiana Pacers’ only victory of the entire 2025-26 campaign is against none other than the Warriors.
On the bright side for the visitors, they are getting contributions from many different sources. Incredibly, in the last four games, they have had four different leading scorers (Stephen Curry, Will Richard, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler), four different leading rebounders (Butler, Quinten Post, Jonathan Kuminga, Trayce Jackson-Davis), and four different leaders in assists (Butler, Green, Brandon Podziemski, and Pat Spencer).
Oklahoma City Thunder
Just as his team is favoured to win a second consecutive NBA title, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is playing like he wants to earn back-to-back MVP honours. The former Kentucky standout is averaging 33.2 points, 6.0 assists, 5.2 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 52.1 per cent from the floor and 90.4 per cent from the free-throw line. Gilgeous-Alexander absolutely owned Golden State last season, scoring 37.0 PPG in three head-to-head encounters.
SGA will be relied on heavily once again because OKC is down three players. Jalen Williams (wrist), Luguentz Dort (shoulder), and Aaron Wiggins (shoulder) have all been ruled out for Tuesday’s contest. Williams, who averaged 21.6 PPG in 2024-25, has not yet made his season debut after undergoing surgery.
NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Warriors vs. Thunder?
Although the Thunder are a bit depleted, it may not matter since Gilgeous-Alexander is playing so well. He is also getting plenty of help from the likes of Chet Holmgren (19.1 PPG), Ajay Mitchell (17.2 PPG), Isaiah Joe (15.2 PPG), and Isaiah Hartenstein (13.4 PPG and 11.8 REB). Against the best team in the entire association, Golden State’s road woes are likely to continue. Let’s go with Thunder 116, Warriors 107.
