Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers Prediction, NBA Odds
The Golden State Warriors will be aiming to snap a two-game road losing streak when they visit the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. The Warriors opened their current five-game Eastern Conference road trip on Saturday with a 102-93 loss in Philadelphia, dumping the Sixers from the top of the Western Conference standings. The Pacers close out a six-game homestand riding a season-high three-game win streak after posting a 106-93 win over Dallas on Friday night.
Despite their recent struggles, the Warriors have emerged as 4-point favourites to win on Monday night, while the total has been pegged at 215.0 on the NBA odds.
Warriors vs. Pacers NBA Betting Odds
Monday night’s matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse marks the first of two regular season meetings between these clubs. Home teams came up short in both of their head-to-head meetings last season, capped by the Warriors’ 111-107 victory in Indiana as 2-point underdogs back on February 24. While that marked just the third win for Golden State in seven dates with the Pacers, the Warriors have held a clear edge when visiting Indiana, winning and covering in four of their past five.
These two teams have also produced mixed results in totals betting. The UNDER enjoys a 2-0 run but is just 7-7 in their past 14. The Warriors maintain a Western Conference-leading 17-8-1 record against the spread despite failing to cover in four of their past six. The Pacers have avoided against the spread losses in three straight, and are 7-4 while pegged as underdogs this season.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors must avoid getting distracted by Stephen Curry’s pursuit of the NBA record for most career three-pointers if they are to snap their current road slide. The spotlight has increasingly focused on Curry’s bid to break the record. The two-time NBA scoring champion has seen his three-point percentage dip to 40.4 while going just 9-for-31 from downtown over his past two outings. Curry has also gone just 6-for-28 during the Warriors’ two-game road losing streak. As a team, Golden State has also struggled at times to generate offence in the fourth quarter of recent road contests, scoring 20 or fewer points in the final frame in five of their past seven away contests.
Indiana Pacers
The Pacers have climbed back within striking distance of a playoff spot during their current 3-0 run. Losers in five of their previous six, the club has leveraged strong starts to establish their first 3-0 run of the season. Indiana has averaged over 61 first-half points scored during their current surge. Myles Turner has come alive since publicly venting frustration at how he has been used by the team this season. Turner racked up 17 points and 10 rebounds in Friday’s win over the Mavericks, and has now averaged 19.5 points per game in his past two outings. Big man Domanatas Sabonis has continued to post gaudy numbers, averaging 21.2 points and 13.7 rebounds while racking up six straight double-doubles.
