Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers Game 4 Prediction, NBA Odds
There have been back-to-back blowouts in the Western Conference semifinals between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, with LA up 2-1 in the series.
The Lakers are 3-point home favourites on the NBA odds for Game 4 on Monday.
Warriors vs. Lakers NBA Betting Odds
With Los Angeles winning Game 3 in a 127-97 rout to lead 2-1, it is now -208 on the series line (was -109 entering Game 3) and Golden State +154 (was -122). On the series handicap, the Lakers at +1.5 games are -1429 and the Warriors -1.5 games are +629.
The over-under for series total games is 5.5, with the over a -455 leader. That it finishes in six is a +118 favourite with the Lakers in six at +192 atop the board. Warriors in six is the +673 long shot.
Los Angeles won Game 4 in the last round at home, 117-111 in OT over Memphis. Golden State also won Game 4 of the last round at home, 126-125 over Sacramento.
Golden State Warriors
We thought the Warriors had solved their regular-season road woes with two victories in Sacramento in the last round, but the Dubs looked completely lost in Los Angeles on Saturday in a 127-97 loss. Golden State shot just 39.6 per cent overall and made two fewer three-pointers than the Lakers, which is shocking. About the only positive from Game 3 was that no key Warriors had to play heavy minutes. Steve Kerr again opted to bring former starting centre Kevon Looney off the bench, and he wasn’t much of a factor in 16 minutes. Steph Curry led the Dubs with 23 points and now needs 21 to tie Larry Bird (3,897) for 12th on the NBA playoffs all-time points scored list. Golden State has won at least one road game in 28 straight playoff series. The Warriors are 6-1 ATS in their past seven after a loss.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers closed the first half of Game 3 on a 30-8 run and never lost control of the game after that. The much bigger Lakers attempted 37 free throws to just 17 for the Warriors, which looked a lot like Game 1. The Lakers are leading in free throw attempts in this series by a commanding 83-39 margin. Anthony Davis also looked like his Game 1 version with 25 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks. LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell each had 21 points. Guard Lonnie Walker hadn’t been part of the rotation but had 12 points in 24 minutes. Including the play-in game, the Lakers are 4-0 at home in these playoffs. They are 2-5 ATS in their past seven following an ATS win.
