Golden State is coming off a third consecutive loss, falling 122-113 in Dallas on Thursday.  The Lakers have lost four in a row, including a 132-111 decision against the Clippers on Thursday.

Golden State is a 5.5-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 226.0.

Warriors vs. Lakers NBA Betting Odds

This is the third of four meetings between the teams this season.  The Warriors won 121-114 in L.A. on Oct. 19 and 117-115 at home on Feb. 12.  They’ll close out the season series in Golden State on April 7.  Roughly 60 per cent of Sports Interaction bettors are taking the Lakers in this one, with almost 90 per cent of action taking the Over.  Both previous games this year have gone above the number.

The Warriors have hit a serious rough patch and dropped seven of their last nine games.  They’re 30-29-4 against the spread for the season, but they only have one cover over those last nine games.  The total has gone Over in seven of Golden State’s last eight contests.

The Lakers haven’t been any better than Golden State as they’ve dropped seven of their last eight.  They’re also a poor cover option, going 26-36 ATS overall and 13-21 ATS at home.  The total has gone Under in four of L.A.’s last five games.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State never held the lead once in the loss to Dallas.  The closest they came to a lead was in the fourth quarter when Moses Moody scored all 13 of his points consecutively for the Warriors to even the game.  Jordan Poole led Golden State with 23 points, while Steph Curry added 21 points and nine assists.  Klay Thompson had an off-night after missing the previous two games with an illness.  Thompson finished with 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting and had multiple shots that were way off target.

The big concern for the Warriors right now is the status of Draymond Green, who has missed 26 straight games because of a back injury and remains without a timetable to return.  Green is a major part of this roster and led the team in rebounds, assists and steals before his injury.  Andre Iguodala is also dealing with a back injury.  Iguodala has been out for 17 games and is reportedly nearing a return, but it won’t be in L.A.

Los Angeles Lakers

The struggle continued in L.A. for the Lakers on Thursday as they were swept in the season series against the Clippers for the second consecutive year.  LeBron James had a team-high 26 points and eight rebounds, while Russell Westbrook added 17 points and eight boards.  Despite James sitting third in league scoring with 28.8 points per game, the Lakers are now a season-low eight games below .500 as they are at serious risk of falling out of a play-in tournament spot.  Keep in mind, especially after James bashed the play-in tournament last season, the Lakers wouldn’t currently be in a position to make the playoffs under the old one through eight format.

This is a roster that just can’t stay healthy, particularly Anthony Davis.  Because of various injuries, Davis has appeared in 37 of a possible 62 games this season and he’s expected to be out of the lineup for another four to five weeks as he recovers from a right foot sprain.  Talen Horton-Tucker missed last game with an ankle injury and he is listed as questionable on Saturday.
