Warriors vs. Bucks Point Spread: NBA Odds, Prediction
A post-season meeting between these two is quite possible – although the Raptors figure to have some say in that from the Bucks’ perspective.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Warriors have been the class of the NBA since the 2014-15 season, reaching four straight NBA Finals and winning three championships. Thus, one would imagine few teams have swept a season series from Golden State in that stretch. The Dubs play each Eastern Conference team twice in a regular season and then clubs from the West either three or four times.
The last team from the East to sweep the Dubs? Well, it happened just last year as the Indiana Pacers pulled off the unlikely – Golden State was missing at least one key player to injury in both games. The previous team from the East to sweep the Warriors was Charlotte (!?) in 2013-14.
Milwaukee attempts the feat Friday thanks to a stunningly easy 134-111 victory in Oakland on Nov. 8. Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson all did play, although Draymond Green didn’t and Curry left injured in the third quarter. The best Big 3 that night was the Bucks’ Eric Bledsoe (26), Giannis Antetokounmpo (24) and Malcolm Brogdon (20) as they combined for 70 points. Be assured that the Warriors remember that beating and won’t want to be swept Friday.
The underdog is 5-2 against the spread in the past seven meetings.
Golden State Warriors
This concludes a five-game road trip through the Eastern Conference for the Warriors, who are 2-2 on it following Wednesday’s 129-105 blowout win at awful Cleveland in what could have been a trap game for Golden State. Curry, who missed the Nov. 29 overtime loss in Toronto, has been terrific in three games since his return from injury. He poured in 42 points in Wednesday’s win along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Simply a different team with Curry. Durant had 25 points, 10 rebounds and was one assist shy of a triple-double. Green sat yet again with his toe injury and won’t play Friday. Golden State is 2-5 ATS in its past seven after a win.
Milwaukee Bucks
It’s the start of the Bucks’ toughest two-game stretch of the year as they visit Toronto on Sunday – we’ll have a preview of that here at Sports Interaction. Milwaukee also avoided a potential trap game Wednesday with a 115-92 home rout of Detroit. Bledsoe tied a season high with 27 points, helping make up for the fact that Antetokounmpo had only 15 in 26 minutes and that the team’s second-leading scorer, Khris Middleton, was out for personal reasons. There might be something behind the scenes there because Middleton was benched in the fourth quarter and OT of the team’s last game for a lack of defensive effort. For purposes of this story, we’ll assume Middleton is back in there Friday in the Bucks’ marquee home game of the season. Milwaukee is 1-5 ATS in its past six overall.
