The Portland Trail Blazers will be trying to snap a three-game straight up losing streak that has threatened to bounce them from the playoff picture in the Western Conference when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. The Blazers have fallen to defeat by double-digit margins five times during their current 1-6 run, capped by Monday’s 102-90 loss to the visiting LA Clippers. The Warriors are coming off a 126-95 rout of the visiting Orlando magic, and will be aiming to tally consecutive wins for the first time in five outings.

Golden State is a heavy 14-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 215.5.

Trail Blazers vs. Warriors NBA Betting Odds

The injury-plagued Trail Blazers get set to hit the hardwood as 14-point road underdogs, which represents their longest position on the NBA game line odds since visiting Golden State as 15-point dogs in Game 3 of their opening-round playoff series in 2017.

Wednesday night’s matchup marks the second of three meetings between these clubs this season. The Warriors romped to a 118-103 win as 6-point chalk when they visited Portland on November 26. Portland holds the edge in head-to-head action, winning outright in eight of 13 regular season meetings since December 2017. However, the Blazers have fallen to defeat by a 15-point margin in each of their past two visits to Golden State. Portland has also emerged as a massive betting disappointment this season, covering just once in their past seven outings, and sport a dismal 9-16 record against the spread so far this season. Conversely, the Warriors have racked up steady results, both in the standings and at the sportsbooks. The club sports a league-best 13-2 record on home court, and have covered the spread eight times during an 11-game win streak as double-digit home chalk.

Portland Trail Blazers

Things have gone from bad to worse for the Blazers during their current 1-6 slide. Already missing superstar playmaker Damian Lillard, who has been sidelined for four games by a nagging abdominal injury, the club must now do without CJ McCollum. The club’s second leading scorer is out indefinitely after suffering a collapsed lung in this past weekend’s lopsided 145-117 loss to Boston. In addition to having an immediate impact on the Portland offence, which has tallied an average of just 101.7 points over their past six outings, those injuries do little to help Portland rebound from a dismal 1-10 start on the road this season.

Golden State Warriors

After struggling to score while losing two of three last week, the Warriors’ offence bounced back with a vengeance in Monday’s demolition of the Magic. Not surprisingly, Stephen Curry once again led the attack with a game-high 31 points, and has now reached 30 points in four of his past nine home appearances. Not to be overlooked is Andrew Wiggins’ bounce-back performance in Monday’s win. The talented Canadian drained 28 points on Monday after topping 12 points just once in his previous four outings, and will be aiming to build on his 25-point performance in Portland two weeks ago.
