OKC has cruised to the top of the Western Conference standings this season, posting a 9.5-game lead ahead of second and third-place Memphis and Denver. The T-Wolves, on the other hand, are flirting with a playoff spot and currently hold the top play-in seed, one game behind the Clippers for sixth in the West.

The Thunder are heavy 11.5-point favourites on the NBA odds, with the total pegged at 228.5.

Timberwolves vs. Thunder NBA Betting Odds

This will be the fourth and final regular season meeting of the year between these teams. Oklahoma City has taken two of the previous three games, including a 130-123 decision in Minnesota last night.

One interesting nugget which gives a little more context for how close the season series has actually been: of the three games played so far, the teams have each scored exactly 344 total points.

These teams trend in very different directions when it comes to covering the spread. The Thunder are 35-18-4 against the spread, while the T-Wolves are 25-32-1 ATS.

Both teams have hit the Over in a slim majority of games this season, including in two of three head-to-heads. Points could be on the menu again on Monday as the Over has hit in five straight road games for Minnesota and 15 of OKC’s last 20 games overall.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Anthony Edwards paced Minnesota on Sunday, posting a team-high 29 points and 10 rebounds. Edwards is having a standout season, ranking fourth in the NBA with 27.7 points per game while leading the league in total three-pointers made (235). The 23-year-old is likely the only reason the Timberwolves are where they are in the standings. A perfect example of that is Minnesota’s game against Houston on Friday, in which Edwards dropped 37 points and Timberwolves still lost 121-115.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his quest to win MVP on Sunday, finishing with 37 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. It was the sixth time Gilgeous-Alexander has hit the 30-point mark in 10 games this month. The Hamilton, Ontario native leads the NBA with 32.3 ppg and his 1.9 steals per game is second. OKC has been dismantling the entire NBA, but they have found particular success against their closest rivals, going 9-2 in divisional games this season.
