Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction, NBA Odds

With just a couple of games to go, they have a one-game lead on the Dallas Mavericks for the 10th and final playoff spot. They’re a big underdog on the road on Tuesday, though, so a loss might be in the cards. Can they surprise the Golden State Warriors in this spot or at least cover?

Thunder vs. Warriors NBA Betting Odds

April has traditionally been a rough month for the Thunder as they’ve gone 3-20 in their last 23 games in the month along with a 4-18-1 record against the spread. However, they are 31-20 ATS this season when posted as a dog and 39-30 when the total is 220 or greater.

As for the Warriors, they’re a healthy 27-13 against the spread at home and 24-11 when at home with a total of 220 or greater. However, they are just 7-13 ATS in their last 20 against bad defensive teams that allow 116+ points per game.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Few people thought that the young and developing Thunder would be in the playoff mix this season but here we are. They appear to be ahead of schedule and a postseason appearance – even if they exit quickly – would be a nice feather in their cap. The challenge is that they’ve been fading over the last couple of weeks and need to change their momentum quickly if they want to sneak in.

The Thunder had a spell where they won eight of 10 but have since dropped five of seven. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is doing his best to will this team to victory but he’s not getting enough help. He’s fourth in the NBA in scoring at 31.4 points per game but has upped that to 33.3 over his last 10. He’s scored 39 in back-to-back games too.

The offense is fifth in the NBA, averaging 117.5 points per outing. However, they’ve lost nearly four points off that average over their last nine contests. The supporting cast needs to step up or the Thunder might be heading for another loss.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have had a trying season but the champs seem to be getting it right down the stretch. The team is healthy and they’ve managed to win five of their last seven. On the season, they rank as the third-best offense in the league with 118.2 points per game. Coupled with where the Thunder’s offense ranks, over might be a good bet in this spot on Tuesday.

A big issue for the Warriors has been away games where they’re just 9-30 on the year. Only three other teams in the league have fewer road wins than them. On the flip side, the Warriors are incredible at home where they are 32-8. They are a -6.6 in terms of scoring margin when on the road and a +7.9 when at home. Home-court advantage is significant with this squad.
