Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers Game 3 Prediction, NBA Finals Odds

Indiana stunned with a late comeback win to take Game 1 of the NBA Finals, but the Thunder answered right back with a dominant 123-107 victory in Game 2 on Sunday. Can the Pacers take advantage of home court on Wednesday, or will Oklahoma City take their first series lead?

OKC opened as a 5.5-point favourite to win Game 3 on the NBA odds, with the total set at 227.5.

Thunder vs. Pacers NBA Betting Odds

With Sunday’s victory, the Thunder improved to 19-1 straight up in their last 20 games against Eastern Conference teams. Of course, that one loss came against the Pacers in Game 1 of this series.

Oklahoma City may be dominating straight up results, but they’ve been far from profitable for bettors on the road, failing to cover in seven straight away games. Indiana, on the other hand, is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.

Sunday’s victory vaulted the Thunder to -600 to win the NBA championship on the NBA futures board. The Pacers lag as +425 underdogs, which is actually great value for a team that split the first two games of the series on the road.

That road split didn’t do anything to sway oddsmakers’ faith, however, as the favoured exact series result is an OKC win in five games at +190. The biggest long shot is Indiana winning in five at +2500.

If you’re looking for a low key player prop, you can get Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to record 4+ rebounds in each game of the series at +115. Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game in the playoffs, put up five rebounds each in Games 1 and 2 of the Finals.

Oklahoma City Thunder

It was another stunning performance from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Game 2. SGA finished with a game-high 34 points, to go along with five rebounds and eight assists. The regular season MVP has proven the stage isn’t two big for him as his 72 combined points in Games 1 and 2 is a new league record for a player in their first two Finals’ games.

OKC’s depth was also on display in Game 2. Alex Caruso had 20 points off the bench, while Jalen Williams scored 19, Aaron Wiggins added 18 and Chet Holmgren chipped in 15. Including the NBA Cup title game, the Thunder are now 18-2 this season when coming off a loss. And of those 18 wins, 12 have come by double-digit points.

Indiana Pacers

Unlike Game 1, Indiana never really seemed to stand a chance in Game 2. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 17 points, Myles Turner had 16 and former Toronto Raptor Pascal Siakam finished with 15. The Pacers have now gone both games of this series without any players reaching the 20-point plateau, which just isn’t sustainable against the elite talent OKC possesses.

Haliburton has been Indiana’s playoff hero all postseason and there’s no question he will have to be better if this team has a shot in the series. The game was basically over from the start on Sunday as Haliburton made just one field goal in the first half while scoring three points and he only had five points by the end of the third quarter. He ended up leading the team in scoring, but garbage points don’t mean much when you lose the game.
