After falling to the Lakers 119-112 in overtime on Monday, the Oklahoma City Thunder will get another shot against L.A. on Wednesday night.

The Lake Show come into this game as heavy 11.5-point favourites on the NBA odds with a total of 218.5.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

With a 10-13 record on the year, OKC has actually been better on the road than at home.  The Thunder have a 7-5 record outside of Oklahoma City and they’ve covered the spread in nine of 12 road games.  OKC has hit the Over in four of their last six games overall.

The Lakers haven’t, by any means, been blowing opponents out this year.  L.A. is 12-13 against the spread, covering in just four of 13 home games.  The Lakers have hit the Over in nine of 25 total games for the season.

Oklahoma City Thunder

This is a much more dangerous team than they’re given credit for and that was on full display in the overtime loss to L.A. on Monday.  OKC has been forced to dress a young roster due to multiple injury issues on the team.  The young guns are stepping up though, as the Thunder recorded 15 offensive rebounds against one of the best teams in the league on Monday.  Darius Bazley and Hamidou Diallo have both filled bigger roles over the last few games.  On Monday Bazley finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds, while Diallo dropped 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a game-high 29 points to go along with seven rebounds and 10 assists.  Although not the greatest defender in the league, Gilgeous-Alexander flies more under the radar than he should.  The Thunder’s leading scorer is averaging 22.6 points per game (team-high), 5.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists (team-high).

Los Angeles Lakers

After playing 89 minutes over the last two games, the big question is, will LeBron James be rested for the first time this season?  Alex Caruso and Anthony Davis will be back in the lineup after being rested in the first half of this two-game set, so the time could be right to rest King James, who finished with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists on Monday.  Even with as deep of a lineup as L.A. possesses, the Lakers still rely on their superstar duo of James and Davis to lead every major statistical category.  James leads the team in points per game (25.6) and assists (8.0).  Davis leads the team in rebounds per game (8.6), steals (1.4) and blocks (1.9).  With Davis back in the lineup, L.A. should be substantially better at stopping secondary chances under the rim.
