Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets Game 3 Prediction, Playoff Odds
The Suns massive 123-98 victory should give them tremendous confidence while they take the trip to Denver for Game 3. The Nuggets face a must win game here, will they be able to achieve their goal, or will the Suns extend their lead?
Suns vs. Nuggets NBA Playoff Odds
Phoenix is 5-0 ATS in their past five games overall and that comes to no surprise given how fantastic they have been in the postseason. Their offense is flowing at a stellar pace right now and it has helped them take their defense to new heights as well.
Denver is 0-4 ATS in their last four matchups against a team with a winning percentage over .600 on the season. The Nuggets have mightily missed the presence of Jamal Murray out on the court through this playoff series as they don’t seem to have enough offense to compete.
Phoenix Suns
From top to bottom, the Suns outworked and outplayed the Nuggets in Game 2. Chris Paul put on another clinic offensively for Phoenix, dropped 17 points and 15 assists with zero turnovers on the night. The role players stepped up as well as every starter on the roster recorded double digits in points. While they did have a rocking home-court advantage cheering them on throughout those first two matchups, it just felt like they were completely overwhelming Denver on both ends. Their defense has been fantastic and has led to a ton of fast break buckets.
Denver seems to have just one reliable option – Nikola Jokic – and that’s about it. The Suns enter Game 3 with all of the momentum in the world right now, if they continue to play at this level, it is bad news for the Nuggets.
Denver Nuggets
It truly didn’t seem as if the Nuggets came ready to play in their last game. Their head coach Michael Malone came out and said that the team quit and it’s possible they might have. They were getting blown out late in the game and seemed to throw in the towel. Nikola Jokic did all that he could in the minutes he was given but other players were simply not hitting shots. Jokic dropped 24 points, 13 rebounds and six assists and would have had more if other players were moving consistently without the basketball.
Their offense, outside of Jokic, was primarily three-point shot attempts as they threw up 43 of them. Someone on this team has to step up and have a big game because otherwise, they’re going to fall into an 0-3 hole.
