Tip-off for Game 4 goes at American Airlines Center at 3:30 p.m. EDT, with the road Suns a 1.5-point favourite to win and the over-under at 215 on the NBA odds.

Suns vs. Mavericks NBA Betting Odds

Friday’s win was Dallas’ first over Phoenix in their last 12 meetings head-to-head. With Phoenix failing to cover, Game 3’s loss dropped the Suns 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 games at Dallas. The loss also snapped a 4-0 streak for Phoenix ATS.

With 197 points scored in Game 3, the total went nearly 20 points under and the under hit for the first time this series. It was the first game this series that neither team scored 110 points. Phoenix won the first two contests scoring 121 and 129 points respectively. The over is now 6-2 in Phoenix’s last eight outings, but Sunday’s in Dallas have trended under — 10 of the last 14 Mavericks games played on a Sunday have fallen under the total.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix suffered an unexpected off-night on offence in Game 3, with no player reaching 20 points in the loss. Friday’s loss was the first time these playoffs Phoenix failed to score 100 points, and this being their ninth postseason game.

Jae Crowder led the club with 19 points and knocked down five threes on eight attempts. Devin Booker managed 18 points. Deandre Ayton notched his first double-double of the series with a 16-point, 11-rebound night. The Suns got a poor outing from the bench in Game 3, with it contributing 17 points on a combined five for 16 shooting from the field.

Dallas Mavericks

Superstar point guard Luka Doncic needed some help, and it came by way of Jalen Brunson Friday night. The 25-year-old led all scorers in Game 3 with 28 points and made some game-sealing buckets down the stretch. That’s not to say Doncic didn’t have an outstanding night as he finished one assist shy of a triple-double with 26 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists.

The most important factor in the win was Dallas’ defence. As mentioned, they held Phoenix to under the century mark in points and kept the Suns under 50 per cent from the field as a team. The Mavericks only committed eight turnovers to Phoenix’s 17 too, and had 12 steals in the win.
