Phoenix Suns vs. Milwaukee Bucks Game 4 Prediction, Playoff Odds

The home team has won and covered the spread in each game of the 2021 NBA Finals.

Suns vs. Bucks NBA Playoff Odds

Early action on the spread is heavy on the Bucks. On the moneyline for Game 4, the Bucks are -186 and Suns +155. The total is set at 220.5 points, with both over and under at -110. The over is 6-0-1 in the past seven meetings overall.

With Phoenix leading the series 2-1, it is -250 on the series line with Milwaukee at +200. The favoured exact result is Suns in seven at +250 and that’s where I’m leaning currently. That the series finishes in seven is +120 with six games at +170 and five at +275.

Each game in this series has been decided by at least 10 points.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix led Game 3 on Sunday night by three after a quarter but the Bucks outscored the Suns by 18 in the second quarter to take control on the way to a 120-100 victory. Phoenix was outscored 40-9 over the last five minutes of the second quarter and third quarter combined. No Suns player even reached 20 points but no key guys played heavy minutes, either, with the game out of hand. Chris Paul led with 19 points and nine assists.

Devin Booker was way off, shooting just 3-for-14 overall and 1-for-7 from deep. He has definitely struggled from three-point range at times in this post-season. Coach Monty Williams was upset his team had just 16 free-throw attempts, one fewer than Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had himself. Phoenix is 4-1 against the spread in its past five following a double-digit loss.

Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee has more size than the Suns do and that showed in Sunday’s Game 3 as the Bucks dominated on the boards (47-36 edge), points in the paint (54-40) and second-chance points (20-2). Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable with 41 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. The Greek Freak became only the third player ever (Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James) with back-to-back NBA Finals games with at least 40 points and 10 rebounds.

Giannis made 14 shots within five feet of the basket in Game 3, tied for the third-most in a Finals game over the last 25 post-seasons. The Suns made 13 shots as a team within five feet of the basket. Giannis is shooting 79 per cent from the paint in this series, which would be his highest in any playoff series of his career. He has mostly stopped taking three-point shots. Jrue Holiday was much better in Game 3, hitting 8-for-14 for 21 points. The Bucks are 5-1 ATS in their past six at home.
