The Phoenix Suns will get a terrifying look at number one draft pick Victor Wembanyama on Halloween night when they host the San Antonio Spurs.

The Phoenix Suns are likely to be missing a pair of key contributors when they host the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night in NBA betting action. Devin Booker is listed as doubtful as he nurses a foot injury while Bradley Beal has already been ruled out of Tuesday’s matchup at Footprint Center with a back injury that has forced him to delay his desert debut with the Suns. Those injury woes are good news for the Spurs, who are reeling from Sunday’s crushing 123-83 road loss to the LA Clippers, and arrive in Phoenix riding a nine-game straight up losing streak against the Suns.

The Suns’ injury woes have not dampened them on the NBA odds, where they are perched as 7.5-point home favourites. The Spurs are listed as +230 moneyline underdogs, and the total is pegged at 224.5.

Spurs vs. Suns NBA Betting Odds

Tuesday night’s matchup marks the first of two games in three days at Footprint Center involving these clubs. The Suns have simply dominated San Antonio during their 9-0 head-to-head run, claiming victory by double-digit margins in four of their past five clashes, capped by a crushing 115-94 win in Phoenix last April.

With the Spurs topping 110 points just once in their past six dates with the Suns, the UNDER has gone 5-1 over that stretch. Overall, Phoenix has won outright in seven of eight regular season home dates. Conversely, the Spurs have lost outright in 26 of their past 29 road games, and have covered in just one of 10 when pegged as road underdogs by nine or fewer points.

San Antonio Spurs

After hanging tough in their first two games of the season, and mounting an impressive comeback in a 126-122 overtime win over Houston, the Spurs returned to familiar form in Sunday’s visit to LA. The Spurs spotted the Clippers an insurmountable 56-37 lead by halftime, and managed to convert on a dismal 37.5% of field goal attempts in a 123-83 defeat.

San Antonio provided fans with little reason to be hopeful, as Spurs starters recorded just 39 total points on the night. Devin Vassell led the way with just 14 points, just ahead of veteran small forward Cedi Osman, who dropped 12 points in just 17 minutes of work off the bench. While Vassell now leads the squad with 20.7 points per game, the best news out of San Antonio has been the strong start by the top pick in this year’s NBA Draft. Victory Wembanyama has contributed a solid 15.7 points per game while being used sparingly. He also dominated under the bucket with 12 rebounds in the team’s OT win over Houston, and sports attractive +105 odds to record OVER 6.5 rebounds on Tuesday.

Phoenix Suns

The absence of Booker and Beal didn’t slow down the Suns in Saturday’s date with the visiting Utah Jazz. With veterans Eric Gordon and Grayson Allen filling their roles in the starting lineup, the Suns wasted no time storming to an early double-digit advantage, and led by as many as 33 points after recess on their way to a 126-104 victory.

Gordon finished the night with 21 points, while Allen added 17 points in his highest-scoring performance since scoring 25 in a lopsided win over Utah last March. However, it is Kevin Durant who continues to power the Suns’ attack. Durant dropped a game-high 26 points on Saturday, and after recording double-doubles in his first two outings of the season, he is worthy of consideration as a +170 bet on the NBA player props to do it again against the lowly Spurs.
