A garbage time injury to a key role player could have a big impact on the Golden State Warriors in their Game 4 matchup against the Houston Rockets. Andre Iguodala, a member of the Hamptons Five lineup, is listed as doubtful for Tuesday because of a knee contusion.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

In a conference finals matchup filled of blowouts, it was the Rockets’ turn to get run off the court in Game 3. Houston trailed by 11 points at halftime and ended up losing on Sunday night by 41 points. The result represents the Rockets’ worst loss of the season and just the 11 time in the regular season and playoffs combined where they lost by double digits.

Houston is 74-21 straight up and 48-46-1 against the spread overall on the year. The under is 4-2 in the Rockets’ last six contests and 9-4 in the last 13 games against the Warriors.

Golden State is unbeaten in its last 16 playoff games at home but just 8-8 ATS over the same period. The Warriors are -1429 favourites to win the series at the NBA futures board and the Rockets are listed as +600 underdogs to pull off the comeback.

About 70 percent of Sports Interaction customers are backing the Warriors to cover as 8.5-point chalk in this NBA matchup.  That line has since moved to Golden State -9. About 58 percent expect the game to go over the 224-point total.

Houston Rockets

Houston’s dynamic backcourt of James Harden and Chris Paul combined for just 33 points on 12-for-32 shooting from the field in Game 3. Paul’s performance was particularly troubling because of an ankle injury he picked up late in Game 2. The Rockets said Paul was 100 percent healthy for Sunday’s contest but it didn’t look that way.

Golden State Warriors

Iguodala’s regular season numbers (6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists) in his 14th year in the NBA undersell how important of a role he plays for the Warriors – especially in the postseason. He’s Golden State’s second best defensive player and one of the few perimeter, role players on this year’s squad. He’s part of the Warriors old death lineup and the new Hamptons Five unit, and he was the 2015 Finals MVP.
