Raptors vs. Pacers NBA Betting Odds

Every win is crucial for both these Eastern Conference teams as Indiana tries to finish in the top six and get an automatic pass into the playoffs, while the Raptors are simply hoping to quality for the play-in tournament. Indiana has gone all-in for the playoffs this season as evidenced by its trade last month for ex-Raptors All-Star forward Pascal Siakam.

His first game back in Toronto was on Feb. 14 in Indiana’s 127-125 win. Siakam had 23 points, seven assists and five rebounds. All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton, who probably should have been named the All-Star Game MVP for the matchup in Indianapolis over Milwaukee’s Damian Lillard, had 21 points and 12 assists.

Toronto won its lone trip to Indianapolis so far this season on Nov. 22 by a score of 132-131 behind 36 points and 10 rebounds from Siakam. Scottie Barnes had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and his dunk with 27 seconds left put Toronto up for good.

Indiana is 6-4 in the past 10 meetings overall and 5-5 ATS.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto was a 123-121 upset winner in Atlanta on Friday and some news out of that game may help the Dinos’ chances of getting into the Eastern Conference play-in tournament as Hawks All-Star guard Trae Young injured his finger and will miss at least a month. He struggled in the loss with just 11 points on 4-for-13 shooting. Atlanta coach Quin Snyder was ejected with 4:25 remaining in the second quarter for storming on the court after Young appeared to injure his right thigh fighting through a screen set by Toronto’s Jakob Poeltl.  Young was able to play through that. It’s not clear when he tore a ligament in his finger on his left hand. Immanuel Quickley led the Raptors with 24 points, while Scottie Barnes had 20 points and 10 assists, and Poeltl 12 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. Friday was the first time in team history that Toronto had four different players record at least 10 points, five rebounds and five assists in Quickley, Barnes, Poeltl and Kelly Olynyk. Barnes has a streak of three straight double-doubles. The Raptors are 1-4 ATS in their past five on Monday.

Indiana Pacers

It’s the second of a back-to-back for Indiana after winning a third straight game Sunday, 133-111 over visiting Dallas. Myles Turner had a season-high 33 points and All-Star Tyrese Haliburton added 17 points and 10 assists. He leads the NBA in assists and has had double-digit helpers in six straight games. Big man Jalen Smith was in question with back spasms but played and had just two points off the bench. He may get tonight off. Forward Aaron Nesmith (12.6 points per game) missed a second game in a row due to an ankle injury and is doubtful for Monday. This is a deep team with seven guys averaging at least 10 points. The Pacers are 28-11 when six or more players score in double figures. They lead the NBA in scoring at 124.0 points per game and are 8-0 when reaching 140 points and 17-2 when getting to at least 130. Indiana is 6-2 in its past eight at home.
