Toronto Raptors vs. Dallas Mavericks Prediction, NBA Odds

It’s been a season to forget for the Dinos. Toronto is coming off a 126-96 blowout win over Charlotte, but they’re still guaranteed to finish 11th in the Easter Conference and miss out on a play-in tournament spot. The Mavs just lost 112-97 against the Lakers, but Dallas is locked in to be one of the two lower play-in seeds in the Western Conference.

The Mavericks are 11.5-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with the total pegged at 224.5.

Raptors vs. Mavericks NBA Betting Odds

Dallas has won six of the last eight head-to-heads between the teams, including a 125-118 decision in Toronto on Dec. 7. Luka Doncic went off for a game-high 30 points, but of course he’s since been traded to the Lakers.

The Raptors haven’t had much success in interconference games, dropping five straight against Western Conference teams. The Mavericks have dropped four of their last five games overall, but they’ve won four of their last five home dates against Toronto.

The Raptors have been a great cover option this season at 48-31-1 against the spread. Dallas has struggled at 36-413 ATS. Toronto has covered in five of their last six road games, while the Mavericks have failed to cover in nine of their last 10 home games.

Points could be on the menu for Friday. The Raptors have hit the Over in four of their last six games and Dallas has finished above the number in 12 of their last 16 games.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto routed the Hornets by 30 points on Wednesday despite limiting minutes for the starters. Scottie Barnes had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds in just 20 minutes of action. RJ Barrett added 11 points and Immanuel Quickley had eight points in 14 minutes each. Depth players filled out most of the second half, with Jared Rhoden scoring a team-high 23 points, while Jonathan Mogbo finished with a triple-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Mogbo is the first rookie in the NBA to earn a triple-double this season. He should continue to see a lot of minutes over the final two games of the season.

Dallas Mavericks

You just knew Luka Doncic was going to go off in his first game back in Dallas and that’s what he did on Wednesday, torching the Mavs for 45 points. Anthony Davis, who was a major piece of Dallas’ return in the Doncic trade, finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Naji Marshall led the Mavericks with 23 points and eight assists. So far, the trade has looked terrible for Dallas. Davis has only managed to play eight games with the Mavs due to injury and he’s averaging six points less per game than he did in 42 games with L.A. this season. Don’t count on Davis getting a lot of minutes in the final two games of the regular season.
