Toronto Raptors vs. Orlando Magic Prediction, NBA Odds
The Toronto Raptors take a one-game trip to central Florida on Friday night for a national TV game as they visit Orlando for the lone time this season. The Magic are -1.5 on the NBA odds with a total of 221.5.
Raptors vs. Magic NBA Betting Odds
There are few things that players in daily sports like the NBA or NHL despise more than a one-game trip in an otherwise midst of several home games, and that’s where the Raptors are Friday. This is their only road game in a span of seven overall as they return home Sunday vs. Utah to finish play five more in a row at Scotiabank Arena.
It’s certainly possible this could be an Eastern Conference playoff preview depending on how the seeding works out. Toronto sits fourth as of publication and Orlando seventh. The Magic are better than the No. 7 team in the East when healthy, but they have barely had all their key guys at once this season. Very dangerous club if so. Orlando is -450 to make the full-field playoffs and +350 to miss.
Friday marks the second of three regular-season meetings between the teams and their only matchup in Florida as Orlando is back in Toronto on March 29. On Dec. 29 there, the Raptors were 107-106 winners, rallying from a 21-point hole despite playing without RJ Barrett. They trailed by 10 after three but used a 13-0 run to take a 105-102 lead with 3:26 remaining. The Magic were without two starters in guard Jalen Suggs and forward Franz Wagner. Paolo Banchero missed the potential winning step-back 3-point attempt at the buzzer.
The clubs have split the past 10 meetings SU and ATS, while the over-under is 3-7. Toronto is looking to win consecutive season series against the Magic for the first time since 2020-2022.
Toronto Raptors
Every team has a few horrible games per season even at home, and that’s what happened to Toronto on Wednesday as it had a four-game winning streak snapped in emphatic fashion in a 119-92 loss at Scotiabank Arena to New York, which has won 11 straight in the series. The Dinos led by 10 after one, but it all went downhill after that.
Brandon Ingram was a bright spot with 27 points, and rookie Collin Murray-Boyles returned from a four-game injury absence and was placed right in the starting lineup with No. 1 centre Jakob Poeltl still out inured (won’t play here). CMB had four points, five rebounds, four assists and four blocks across 28 minutes. Ingram reached 1,000 points in his 47th game with Toronto, becoming the third-quickest Raptor to do so behind Kawhi Leonard and RJ Barrett.
The former Knick Barrett finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists in his third game back from injury but continues to have a minutes limit and played only 24. Scottie Barnes had his 101st career double-double and needs one more to tie Pascal Siakam (102) for fifth-most in Raptors history.
Toronto shot 6 of 17 from 3-point range in the first half but 1 of 9 the rest of the way. Murray-Boyles and Alijah Martin have been selected to participate in the 2026 Rising Stars showcase as part of All-Star weekend. Toronto is 6-1 ATS in its past seven away.
Orlando Magic
Orlando is sort of the exact opposite of Toronto right now as it had lost four straight but played really well Wednesday and ended that in a 133-124 victory in Miami. Paolo Banchero had 31 points and 12 rebounds, and Anthony Black scored 26 points – Black is having a breakout third season and will get paid this summer.
Excellent forward Franz Wagner has been out since Jan. 18 with an ankle injury and not back for this one. He leads the team at 22.2 points per game. The projected starting five of Jalen Suggs, Desmond Bane, Wagner, Banchero and Wendell Carter Jr. has played a total of just six per cent of possessions together this season due to injury.
The Magic have been good in close games, going 10-5 in those decided by five points or fewer, 7-2 when decided by three points or fewer and 4-1 in games decided by one point. Those four wins are tied for the most in team history in a single season. The seven wins are tied for second-most in the NBA. The team is 2-1 in overtime games. The under is 6-1 in the Magic’s past seven vs. the Raptors.
