Sunday is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the teams, and the Raptors try for the four-game sweep following Sunday’s 128-108 win. It also may be the last time Toronto faces Charlotte with Michael Jordan as the Hornets’ owner.

Raptors vs. Hornets NBA Betting Odds

The greatest player ever is in talks to sell a majority stake in the franchise to a group led by Hornets minority owner Gabe Plotkin and Atlanta Hawks minority owner Rick Schnall. If a sale is completed, Jordan is expected to remain with a minority stake in the franchise, and the NBA wants MJ involved in the sport somehow. In the 13 years that he’s maintained majority ownership of the Hornets, Charlotte has only appeared in the postseason twice and not since 2016. The team also has had five head coaches — including currently a second stint for Steve Clifford.

Toronto trails the all-time series 47-45 and 28-16 on the road despite Sunday’s victory. The Raptors are 5 -1 ATS in the pas six meetings.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors have been guaranteed at least one extra game this season as they clinched a play-in tournament spot with Sunday’s 128-108 victory over the Hornets. Pascal Siakam scored 36 points, Fred VanVleet added 20 points and a franchise-record 20 assists, and OG Anunoby added 23 points for the Raptors. Anunoby had to leave during the fourth quarter with what Raptors coach Nick Nurse described as a “mild, mild sprain” of his ankle. He’s questionable for this one. The Dinos aren’t getting into the East’s top six, so now the question is how hard Nurse pushes his guys in the final week simply to try and improve the team’s potential slot in the play in. Gary Trent Jr. hasn’t played since March 19 due to back spasms. Raptors are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 road games.

Charlotte Hornets

This is the penultimate home game of the season for Charlotte, which was blown out for a second straight game on Sunday. The Hornets played without all five of the team’s anticipated starters this season against the Raptors. P.J. Washington (right ankle sprain), Kelly Oubre (right shoulder sprain), Gordon Hayward (left thumb sprain) and Dennis Smith Jr. (right great toe sprain) were those ruled out on top of previously injured guys. Former Toronto player Svi Mykhailiuk scored a career-high 26 points Sunday, and rookie Mark Williams added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Williams looks like a keeper. Charlotte is 3-7 ATS in its past 10 at home.
