The Toronto Raptors conclude a long road trip Wednesday night at the Los Angeles Clippers. The NBA odds will be determined by the status of a few players.

Raptors vs. Clippers NBA Betting Odds

This concludes a six-game road trip for the Dinos, who have won the past four after losing the opener in Cleveland. They will not have to travel for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers because they share the Staples Center in L.A. with the Lakers, whom the Raptors beat on Monday. The Clips are building their own arena but it won’t be ready for a few years.

Wednesday concludes the season series as the Raptors beat the visiting Clippers 116-108 on New Year’s Eve behind 31 points and nine assists from Fred VanVleet, 26 points from OG Anunoby, and 25 points and 19 rebounds from Pascal Siakam.

The Clippers remain without injured All-Stars Paul George and former Raptor Kawhi Leonard, who probably won’t play at all this season. George could still make it back. The team also acquired ex-Raptor Norman Powell from Portland around the February trade deadline, but Powell broke his foot just three games into his Clippers career and hasn’t played since. The fact that L.A. will still make the Western Conference play-in tournament despite so many injuries is a credit to coach Ty Lue.

Toronto leads the all-time series 28-23 but is 11-14 as the road team. The teams have split the past 10 meetings against the spread.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto won its fourth straight game Monday, 114-103 at the Lakers. The Dinos were up as much as 24 early and mostly cruised from there. LeBron James was a game-time decision for the Lakers but played and had 30 points. Siakam had 27 points (at least 20 in a career-high seven straight games) and 11 rebounds, Gary Trent Jr. 28 points, Scottie Barnes 21 points and nine rebounds, and Precious Achiuwa 10 points and 11 rebounds.

All the Toronto starters had positive plus/minus ratings and all the reserves negative. VanVleet did play after getting the last game off and had 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Just speculation on this writer’s part, but he might get Wednesday off at the end of a long trip to rest his knee. Anunoby remained out with his fractured finger, although he was set to practice Tuesday to see if he can play through it.

Los Angeles Clippers

Monday was the second of a back-to-back and the Clippers rested starters Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris. Key reserve Robert Covington remained out due to personal reasons. The Clippers had a chance to win at the end of regulation in Cleveland but couldn’t convert and would lose 120-111 in overtime to end a three-game trip through the East. Ivica Zubac (24 points, 14 rebounds) and Terance Mann (18 points, 10 rebounds) each had double-doubles.

Presumably, Jackson and Morris will play Wednesday but it’s not clear on Covington, who also came from Portland in the Powell trade mentioned above. The Clippers are 20-14 at home.
