Chicago likely opens as a short favourite on the NBA odds, but it depends on a few injuries.

Raptors vs. Bulls NBA Betting Odds

Tuesday marks the final meeting of the season between the teams with Chicago leading 2-1. The Bulls will look very different the next time the Raptors see them either in the East play-in tournament this spring (unlikely) or next season because the Chicago front office reportedly is open to overhauling the roster by trading away the likes of former Raptor DeMar DeRozan (free agent this summer), Zach LaVine, Alex Caruso, Andre Drummond and perhaps others.

DeRozan is averaging 25.3 points per game this season against his former team, and Nikola Vucevic 14.7 points and 11.3 rebounds. If we go back further, Vucevic has recorded a double-double in eight of his last 10 games versus the Raptors, averaging 18.3 ppg and 11.8 rpg during that stretch. DeRozan is averaging 22.7 ppg in his last 10 matchups with Toronto.

Chicago leads the all-time series 57-48 and has won six straight at home. The last time Chicago won six or more consecutive home games vs. the Raptors was between the 2014-15 and 2016-17 seasons.

Toronto Raptors

We projected the Raptors to lose 123-120 in Atlanta on Saturday and were close as the Hawks prevailed 126-125, Toronto’s fifth straight loss and ninth in the past 10. The Dinos played without the injured RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Jakob Poeltl. None have been ruled out for Tuesday as of this writing yet. Scottie Barnes dunk with seven seconds remaining gave the Raptors a one-point lead, but Saddiq Bey dunked in Trae Young’s miss with 1.1 seconds left for the win. “We talked about it in the huddle,” Young said of the final play. “Just try to go create and go downhill, but we needed to crash because they were going to contest my shot. We were going to have a shot at a rebound and it worked out perfectly for us.” Barnes and Jordan Nwora led Toronto with 24 points each. Nwora, in just his third game with the team, went nuts off the bench in also adding nine rebounds and six assists in 31 minutes. Nwora’s career highs in points (34) points and rebounds (14) came on May 16, 2021 against the Bulls while with Milwaukee. Barnes is averaging 22.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals while shooting 58.1 per cent from the field vs. Chicago this season. The Raptors are 1-4 ATS in their past five.

Chicago Bulls

Chicago avoided a winless three-game trip through the Western Conference with a 104-96 win in Portland on Sunday despite making just eight of 32 three-point attempts as injured All-Star guard Zach LaVine remains out. With young forward Patrick Williams also out Sunday with a foot injury (both are expected out Tuesday), Ayo Dosunmu moved into the starting lineup and hit a key late three-pointer to clinch it. Rookie Julian Phillips saw more time with Williams out and had a career-best 11 points in 23 minutes off the bench. DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 20 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists. He also had the 500th made three-pointer of his career, which is notable because DeRozan has spent most of his career shooting from mid-range. Saturday was his team-best 31st game this season with at least 20 points. The Bulls are 4-1 ATS in their past five at home.
