Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks Prediction, NBA Odds

The Raptors wrap up a brief two-game road trip after posting a 110-101 win in Chicago on Thursday night, but have managed to tally consecutive victories just once during their current 4-4 overall run. The Bucks continued their bid to return to NBA playoff contention with Friday’s 139-118 victory in New Orleans that extends their current win streak to three games and lifts them to 6-1 in their past seven overall.

The Raptors arrive in Milwaukee perched as 2.5-point favourites on Sunday’s NBA odds. The Bucks trail as lengthy +125 underdogs on the NBA moneyline, and the total is pegged at 219.5.

Raptors vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds

The Raptors topped the Bucks in their first two meetings this season, capped by a 111-105 victory in Milwaukee on December 18, snapping a four-game head-to-head losing streak. The UNDER paid out in totals betting in each of those contests, and Toronto has now topped the Bucks in three of four when the total goes UNDER. Overall, the UNDERR has gone 7-3 in the Raptors’ past 10 contests. However, the club has flashed some offensive muscle over that stretch, scoring 122+ points in three of their past five outings. The Raptors have also emerged as a reliable bet on the road, going 7-2 ATS in their past nine games. Losers in five straight to close out January, the Bucks have made a statement during their current 6-1 SU and ATS run, claiming victory by double-digit margins on three occasions while averaging 120.1 points per game over that stretch. The club’s three-game surge on home court is their longest since October and snaps a dismal 4-10 run at Fiserv Forum.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors will be missing Scottie Barnes on Sunday, with the star forward leaving the team briefly for personal reasons. Barnes’ absence comes in the wake of a 14-point, nine-rebound effort in Thursday’s win over Chicago that marked the seventh time in 10 outings he has recorded 9+ boards. With Barnes’ away, Jakob Poeltl could get another chance to get his season back on track. The big man has struggled with injury through out the campaign and has mustered just 11 total points and six total rebounds in his first two appearances since returning to action. Collin Murray-Boyles could also be in line for a bigger assignment after recording 11 points and six boards versus the Bulls, and has now tallied 10+ points in nine of 12 outings. After watching most of last week’s NBA All-Star Game action from the bench, Brandon Ingram looked refreshed in Chicago, scoring 31 points and adding eight boards and six assists, and has now scored 30+ points in three of his past six contests.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks will be missing superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who will be sidelined for an 11th straight game due to a calf injury. Joining the Greek Freak in the clinic is Myles Turner, who has been out since February 11 with a calf injury, but is officially listed as questionable for Sunday. However, recent addition Cam Thomas has done his part to fill the void in Antetokounmpo’s absence. Signed as a free agent after being waived by the Brooklyn Nets just prior to the NBA Trade Deadline, Thomas is coming off a 27-point performance versus the Pelicans and has averaged almost 24 points per game in his past three outings. Ousmane Dieng has also settled in nicely since being acquired in a trade deadline deal. The big man has averaged 15.3 points over his past three outings, and recorded his first double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 boards in a 110-93 win over his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammates on February 12.
