It’s a Super Bowl Sunday matinee from Scotiabank Arena as the Toronto Raptors host the Detroit Pistons with the Dinos heavy favourites on the NBA odds.

Pistons vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

With a 3 p.m. ET tipoff, this will end well before the 6:30 p.m. ET kickoff of Super Bowl 57 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. There are a few cross-sport props available for Pistons-Raptors and Chiefs-Eagles here at the site.

Sunday is the second of four regular-season meetings between the teams. On Nov. 14 in Detroit, the very short-handed Raptors won 115-111 behind a career-high 27 points from Dalano Banton – he rarely sees the court most games — and 20 from Chris Boucher. Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent were all out due to injury or illness. The Raptors snapped a six-game losing streak to the Pistons, beating Detroit for the fourth time in 13 meetings since Dwane Casey was fired by Toronto and hired by the Pistons. Rookie Jaden Ivey scored 21 to lead the home side.

The Pistons lead the all-time series 60-39 and are 28-19 in Toronto, winning the past three there.

Detroit Pistons

Detroit made an interesting multi-team trade ahead of Thursday’s deadline, essentially sending fourth-leading scorer Saddiq Bey (14.8 ppg) to Golden State for centre James Wiseman. The Pistons are taking a shot on the incredibly high ceiling of Wiseman, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 draft by the Warriors. He couldn’t stay healthy or find much playing time when with the Dubs. Do note the trade is in some jeopardy because of concerns over a physical of a player going to Golden State (Gary Payton II) so Wiseman may not debut here if he even remains a Piston.

Detroit snapped a three-game losing streak Friday with a 138-131 double-OT win over horrible San Antonio. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 10 of his 32 points in overtime. He was widely expected to be traded and could have put a contender over the top. Rookie Jalen Duren had 30 points and 17 rebounds.

Toronto Raptors

If the Raptors miss the play-in tournament by a game, circle Friday. Toronto carried a three-game winning streak and had the debut of trade acquisition Jakob Poeltl against a short-handed Utah team. Really no excuse for losing, but the Jazz rallied from down 12 in the final five minutes for a 122-116 victory. The Raptors outscored the Jazz by 18 points from deep, but Utah shot 54.0 per cent from the field overall and Toronto 45.1. Poeltl played only 17 minutes off the bench due to foul trouble. Pascal Siakam had 35 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals but no one else had more than 19 points. OG Anunoby was out again injured and not likely Sunday.
