The Pacers dropped a 121-117 decision in Monday’s series opener, and have now fallen to defeat in six of nine dates with the Knicks. With Monday’s victory, the Knicks improved to 10-2 SU over their past 12 games including victories in six of their past seven on home court.

The Knicks return to action as 5.5-point favourites on the NBA Game 2 odds and have rocketed to -400 chalk on the NBA series prices. The Pacers now trail as +300 underdogs to rebound and win this series and the total for Wednesday’s contest is pegged at 218.5.

Pacers vs. Knicks NBA Playoff Betting Odds

Game 1 of this series proved to be a hard-fought battle, with the Pacers maintaining a narrow lead through lengthy stretches of the second half until the Knicks reclaimed the lead for good in the final minute. Close finishes are nothing new when these teams meet, with matters getting settled by six or fewer points in six of their past nine dates. But while the Knicks hold the edge in both the series and recent dates with Indiana, the Pacers have emerged as a solid bet when facing New York, going 4-1 against the spread of their past five meetings including a 3-1 ATS mark at MSG. However, if the Pacers are to bounce back in this series, they’ll have to do better in the paint. Indy was outboarded by a 40-32 margin in Game 1 while recording their fewest rebounds since early February.

Indiana Pacers

Myles Turner led the charge for the Pacers in Game 1, posting a team-high 23 points on 8-for-16 shooting. That performance marks a turnaround for the big man, who mustered just 18 total points over the final two games of the club’s first-round series against Milwaukee. Turner has now scored at least 23 points in three of four appearances against the Knicks this season and is a -110 bet on the NBA player props to score OVER 17.5 on Wednesday night. Conversely, Pascal Siakam has yet to regain the form that generated 35.5 points per game in Games 1 and 2 versus the Bucks, dropping just 19 points on Monday night, and has failed to reach 20 points in five straight games. Complicating matters is the uncertain status of Tyrese Haliburton, who has been plagued by back spasms that leave him listed as questionable for Game 2.

New York Knicks

Jalen Brunson turned in another mammoth performance for the Knicks in Game 1, scoring a game-high 43 points along with six boards and six assists. Brunson has now averaged 42.8 points scored during a run of four 40+ point outings, and in addition to sporting -110 odds to top 37.5 points in Game 2, Brunson has also emerged as an intriguing +1000 bet to claim NBA Finals MVP honours this spring. Josh Hart continued to demonstrate his versatility with his fifth double-double of the postseason, recording a playoff-high 24 points along with 13 boards.
