It’s Brooklyn’s second game post-All-Star break, losing 129-106 versus Boston Thursday. The Nets sit in eight in the East with a 31-29 record, and Milwaukee in fourth at 36-24. Saturday’s the fourth of six straight for the Bucks at home. Milwaukee’s 1-2 on the home stand so far, last losing to Philadelphia on February 17.

Nets vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds

A 2-13 stretch, all of which without Kevin Durant and newly-acquired Ben Simmons, has dropped the Nets into a race for a playoff spot — never mind a bid at first in the East. Brooklyn’s also struggled to both cover and keep opponents’ totals down as of late. The Nets are 4-10-1 in their last 15 against the spread, and the over is 7-1 in their last eight. The over has hit in seven straight Bucks games too, but is on a 2-9 run in the last 11 Brooklyn–Milwaukee bouts.

It’s the third of four meetings between these clubs. The Bucks have taken the first two by double-digits including a 23-point victory on opening night. The under hit in each contest.

Brooklyn Nets

Absent players are the main reason for the Nets free fall, but they’ll be gaining a new player Saturday. Veteran guard Goran Dragic is set to make his Brooklyn debut after signing with the team last week. Dragic hasn’t played since November 13, and has suited up in five games this season (all with Toronto). In 872 career games, Dragic has averaged 13.9 points and 4.8 assists.

Durant will remain out with a knee injury, but may return in Brooklyn’s next three games. Simmons and Joe Harris are the other injured nets, and then there’s Kyrie Irving… who is only playing in road games due to his vaccination status.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks three-point loss to Philadelphia last week became their third loss in their last four games. So, the nine-day break came at a good time for the Bucks; especially considering guards George Hill and Grayson Allen and forward DeAndre’ Bembry were day-to-day with injuries prior to All-Star weekend, and all three are set to play against Brooklyn. Allen’s started 48 games this season, already surpassing his career-high of 38 starts with Memphis last season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton both travelled to Cleveland for All-Star weekend. Antetokounmpo dropped 30 points in 27 minutes of the game while Middleton had just five in 21 minutes. Antetokounmpo is currently second in the NBA with 29.4 points per game.
