The Lakers are coming off a lopsided 128-111 win in Toronto on Tuesday night to improve to 7-1 in their past eight games, extending their lead over 11th-place Houston to 4.5 games with just six games remaining on their regular season schedule. The Wizards snapped a three-game slide with Tuesday’s 117-13 win over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks, but have been dismal when playing the back half of games played on consecutive nights, losing 17 straight since February 2023.

With these teams headed in opposite directions, the Lakers are listed as lofty 12.5-point road favourites on the Wednesday NBA odds. The Wizards are distant +1500 longshots on the NBA moneyline to pull off the upset and the total is pegged at 234.5.

Lakers vs. Wizards NBA Betting Odds

The Lakers continued their recent high-scoring ways in Tuesday’s victory over the Raptors and have now scored at least 128 points six times during their current 7-1 run. Los Angeles has also emerged as a solid bet on the road, going 9-4 SU and 8-5 ATS over its past 13 away contests. Things have not gone so well for the Wizards, who sport the second worst record in the NBA even after beating the Bucks on Tuesday. The Wizards also lead only Detroit with an 8-20 record on home court and have also lost three straight to the Lakers. However, they sport a respectable 5-2 ATS record in their past seven head-to-head meetings with LA and a solid 32-34-2 ATS record this season when pegged as underdogs.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers enjoy the rare benefit of having neither LeBron James nor Anthony Davis listed on Wednesday’s pre-game injury report. The superstar duo has battled an array of nagging injuries throughout the campaign and could be getting healthy at just the right time. After piling up 40 points in Sunday’s 116-104 win in Brooklyn, LBJ dropped 23 points against Toronto and has now scored at least 23 points in 13 of 17 appearances since the All-Star Break. With 12 rebounds and 21 points, Davis recorded his seventh straight double-double on Tuesday night. However, it was D’Angelo Russell who led the attack with 25 points after averaging just 12 points per game in his previous two outings.

Washington Wizards

After averaging just 104.3 points per game in their preceding 0-3 run, the Wizards regained their shooting form in Tuesday’s win over the Bucks, converting 50.5% from the field after reaching that number just twice in their previous 116 outings. Despite sporting the worst defence in the NBA, the Wizards have also flashed glimmers of hope while limiting opponents to just 109.3 points per game over their past three outings. With leading scorer Kyle Kuzma sidelined by a heel injury, Corey Kispert filled the void on Tuesday with a team-high 27 points. However, the 25-year-old has reached 20 points in consecutive games just once since the end of February.
