Lakers vs. Warriors NBA Betting Odds

With Los Angeles winning Game 4 by a score of 104-101 to take a 3-1 series lead, it is now -588 on the series line (was -208 entering Game 4) and Golden State +370 (was +154). That the series finishes on Wednesday is +209, with six games at +110 and seven at +239. The favoured exact result is Lakers in six at +107.

As good as the Warriors have been in this dynasty where they have won four titles since 2015, they have repeated just once in that span: The 2017-18 season. Obviously, they would have to pull off a rare comeback from down 3-1 in this series to keep that chance alive. The Lakers are new favourites in the West at +136.

LA is 6-1 ATS in the past seven meetings.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers stayed unbeaten at home in these playoffs with Monday’s 104-101 comeback victory. The fourth quarter hero wasn’t LeBron James or Anthony Davis but previously seldom-used Lonnie Walker IV, who had all 15 of his points in the quarter as LA outscored the Warriors by 10. Walker had as many made field goals with six at Golden State did in the fourth. LeBron James led the Lakers with 27 points but was minus-8. Anthony Davis stopped his trend of a good game followed by a bad one as he was terrific for the second straight outing with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Austin Reaves added 21 points to help make up for D’Angelo Russell finishing 1-for-10 for four points. Some talking heads in the media say the Lakers should rest LeBron and Davis for Game 5, basically punt it and then worry about Game 6 back at home. No indication they will do that. The Lakers are 4-1 ATS in their past five.

Golden State Warriors

A big reason that the Warriors lost Game 4 was Steph Curry and Klay Thompson going a combined 4-for-15 in the fourth quarter. Curry did have his third career postseason triple-double with 31 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds but missed a couple of late shots. Curry is now 0-for-12 in his playoff career on potential go-ahead shots in the final 45 seconds of the fourth quarter or overtime. Thompson had just nine points and Jordan Poole zero off the bench. He looks completely lost. Kevon Looney was a non-factor again as well with four points and three rebounds off the bench. Don’t be surprised if he’s back with the starters in Game 5. Golden State is 1-14 all time in series after trailing 3-1. The lone comeback was in the 2016 Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Warriors are 6-2 ATS in their past eight after a loss.
