The Heat can’t find an answer for LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who combined for 65 points in Game 2, with L.A. beating Miami in every facet of the game.

It’s starting to look bleak for Miami after dropping another lopsided game to Los Angeles on Friday. The Lakers are looking to build on their 2-0 NBA finals lead when they hit the floor for Game 3 on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Lakers finished with a 124-114 win on Friday and come into Game 3 as nine-point favourites, with a total of 218.5.

NBA Finals Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Lakers have been heavy favourites in the first two games this series and have covered both times. James and Davis are scoring heavily, pushing the over to 4-1 in the Lakers’ last five games overall, while the over is 5-1 in the Heat’s last six games overall.

History isn’t siding with the Heat as they have fallen behind 0-2 in a best-of-7 series eight times and have only rallied to win one of those series’. For LeBron James, on the other hand, this is the 24th time in his career he has gone up 2-0 in a playoff series and he has come out with a series victory all 23 previous times.

Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James and Anthony Davis have looked unstoppable in the playoffs and they continue to get better.  AD and LeBron combined for a monster 65 points, 23 rebounds and 10 assists on Friday and became the first Lakers teammates to each put up at least 30 points in an NBA finals game since Kobe and Shaq in 2002.  LeBron also became the second player in NBA history (behind Lakers legend Magic Johnson) to have at least 20 points and nine assists without any turnovers.

Miami Heat

Injuries continue to hit the Heat hard. With starters Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo out for Game 2, the load was put on Jimmy Butler, who was actually playing through an ankle injury. Butler’s 25 points and game-high 13 assists weren’t enough on Friday. The Heat have only led for a combined 10:44 through the first two games of the series and with Dragic and Adebayo questionable for Game 3, it’s not looking good for Miami to climb back in this series.
