L.A. survived a close call Monday but powered through in overtime for a 117-111 victory in Game 4 behind a 22-point, 20-rebound night from LeBron James. The 4x NBA Champion and MVP also sent the game to overtime with a tying basket with under a second remaining. Memphis fell to 0-3 with Ja Morant in this series.

Tip-off at FedExForum starts at 7:30 p.m. EDT with Memphis a four-point favourite at home in the must-win spot, while the over-under is at 222 on the NBA odds.

Lakers vs. Grizzlies NBA Playoffs Betting Odds

With a Lakers dub and cover in Game 4 the winner in every game in this series has also covered. The home team is 3-1 outright in this series with the lone road victory being L.A.’s in Game 1. That’s a rare feat in Memphis though as the Grizzlies finished with the most home wins in the regular season with 35.

The over hit thanks to overtime in Game 4, making the over-under split 2-2 this series. With regards to head-to-heads, 15 of these teams’ last 20 meetings have finished under the total but L.A. comes in having 10 of their last 13 overall go over and six of their last six road games finish over too. Eleven of the last 12 Lakers–Grizzlies bouts in Memphis have finished under.

Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron’s 22-point, 20-rebound performance was his first his 20-year career. And many were calling it a true “40” in response to Memphis’ Dillon Brooks’ infamous quotes about him not respecting James until he reaches that 40 mark. LeBron’s special night made up for a few duds from the field, namely Anthony Davis and Rui Hachimura who went a combined six for 22 shooting.

D’Angelo Russell stepped up big for the Lakers in Game 4 too, scoring 17 points and draining some clutch threes before fouling out. It’s what’s made L.A. go this post-season; when some players aren’t at their best, the Lakers have the depth to make up for it and chug along.

Memphis Grizzlies

Brooks and Ja Morant declining to speak to media after Game 4 says a lot about where the Grizzlies are at right now. The Grizzlies don’t have answers for L.A.’s plethora of scorers and don’t possess the scoring depth to fire back. Desmond Bane did his best in Game 4 by scoring a game-high 36 points.

Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. had a 14-point, 14-rebound, and five-block night in Game 4 but beyond that that Memphis didn’t impress much. Brooks was four for 11 from the field and one for seven from deep, while Morant scored 19 points on 24 shot attempts. From here the key is Morant, and he may have to drag Memphis to a win.
