The Sixers return home after eking out a 127-123 win in Oklahoma City on Saturday, but have struggled to produce consistent results since opening the season on a torrid 8-1 straight up run. The Lakers opened their current four-game road trip with Saturday’s 121-115 win in Cleveland to improve to 7-2 SU in their past nine games including three straight away victories.

Winners in nine of their past 10 dates with LA, the 76ers have emerged as 5.5-point home favourites on the Monday NBA odds. The Lakers trail as +185 underdogs on the NBA moneyline, and -115 odds favour the total going UNDER 231.5.

Lakers vs. 76ers NBA Betting Odds

The 76ers have enjoyed consistent success when facing the Lakers, with their current 9-1 SU run in head-to-head action featuring five straight victories on home court. However, it is the Lakers that have regularly rewarded loyal sports bettors when facing Philly. Los Angeles has produced against-the-spread wins in nine of their past 13 dates with the Sixers, and have covered in each of their five recent road losses to the Sixers.

Conversely, they have covered just twice while losing outright in eight straight while listed as underdogs by four or more points. The Lakers have also failed to cover in consecutive outings while going 4-4 ATS on the road this season.

Los Angeles Lakers

Losers in each of their first five away contests, the Lakers have since emerged as road warriors, claiming victory by an average margin of seven points during a 3-0 SU surge. Overall, the Lakers have tightened on defence during their 7-2 run, allowing just 108.7 points per game. While that has spawned a steady 5-1 run for the UNDER, it has not produced steady results on the NBA odds, where the Lakers have failed to cover in consecutive games so far this season.

Injuries remain a big worry for this club. In addition to the continued uncertain status of superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Cam Reddish remains listed as questionable to return after missing the past two games with a groin injury. He is joined in the clinic by Rui Hachimura, who is out indefinitely with a nasal fracture, and Jarred Vanderbilt, who has seen his season debut further delayed by a foot injury.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers managed to hold off a fearsome fourth-quarter rally to seal their 127-123 win over the Thunder on Saturday, ending a two-game slide. As expected, Joel Embiid played the pivotal role in the win, posting game-highs with 35 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Embiid has vaulted to the top of the NBA scoring stats while averaging 33.5 points per game over his past 10 outings, and has recorded double-doubles in 11 of his past 13 outings.

Embiid has also owned the Lakers in recent clashes. The Process has averaged 34.3 points per game and recorded double-doubles in his past three versus LA, and is worth a value bet as a +800 wager to pick up a triple-double against the injury-hobbled Lakers. However, the Sixers will once again be without small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. on Monday as he recovers from a rib injury that has sidelined him for almost three weeks.
