The 25-21 Knicks are holding onto seventh place in the conference as eighth-place Atlanta is at 23-22 and quickly coming up on the Knicks.

Atlanta enters having four straight wins while scoring at will. The Hawks have entered the NBA’s top 10 scoring teams thanks to this stretch of 478 points over their past four outings, making for a strength-on-strength matchup against a Knicks team seventh in points allowed.

Tip-off at State Farm Arena starts at 7:30 p.m. EST with Atlanta a four-point favourite on home court and the over-under at 232.5 on the NBA odds.

Knicks vs. Hawks NBA Betting Odds

New York’s splits this season have been extremely odd, as they’re 11-13 on home court but then 14-8 on the road. They get even better ATS too, as the Knicks have covered in 16 of their 22 road games this season. New York’s also 11-1 ATS in their last 12 on the road.

Head-to-head, the Knicks are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games at Atlanta. F riday’s the third match of five this season between New York and Atlanta, and the first in Atlanta. The Hawks defeated the Knicks 112-99 on November 2 and New York got revenge on December 7 in a 113-89 win. The under has connected in eight of the last 11 Knicks–Hawks contests.

New York Knicks

The Knicks lost starting centre Mitchell Robison in Wednesday’s loss to a broken thumb. With Robinson out a few weeks, big men Isaiah Hartenstein and Jericho Sims should see larger roles moving forward. The two combined for 34 minutes Wednesday with Robison exiting after playing nine minutes.

Jalen Brunson scored a team-high 32 in the loss and was one of the only Knicks on his game when it came to scoring. Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett missed all nine of their three-point attempts in the loss and the Knicks as a team went seven for 26 from deep. New York is 26th in the league with a 33.7 per cent conversion rate from three.

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks caught fire from three in Wednesday’s 130-122 victory over Dallas Wednesday, nailing half of their 26 three-point attempts. Dejounte Murray shot four-for-six from deep and finished with a game-high 30, leading the Hawks in scoring for their second straight contest. Murray’s been the hot hand over Atlanta’s winning streak, scoring at least 27 in three straight games while going a ridiculous 33 for 52 (63.4 per cent) from the field.

Murray’s 20.6 points per game are only behind Trae Young’s team-high 27.2 points per game. Young added 18 points and 12 assists in the win over Dallas. Atlanta’s third in the NBA with 43.5 made field goals per game; Murray and Young who both average over eight makes a night.
