The New York Knicks are exactly 48 minutes away from punching their ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. Led by Jalen Brunson’s brilliant 30-point performance and 22 points from Mikal Bridges, the Knicks led wire-to-wire, silencing a Cleveland crowd that included Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

With boisterous travelling fans chanting “Knicks in four,” New York has put the Cleveland Cavaliers on the brink of elimination. The Knicks have now won nine of their 10 consecutive playoff games by double digits, averaging a spectacular 22.5-point margin of victory. Cleveland coach Kenny Atkinson admitted his squad simply has not been able to match New York’s overwhelming physical energy, leaving the understaffed Cavaliers with zero momentum heading into Monday’s final stand.

The Cavaliers look thoroughly defeated, completely unable to halt New York’s downhill momentum. Evan Mobley provided a brief spark with a team-high 24 points, while Donovan Mitchell fought through physical fatigue to add 23. However, the supporting cast is offering next to no help. 

James Harden tallied 19 points but struggled heavily to contain New York’s dynamic guards on the defensive end. Compounding their woes, Cleveland’s lack of focus showed at the charity stripe, where they converted 12-of-19 attempts. Down 3-0, this roster looks ready for Cancun.

NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Knicks vs. Cavaliers?

There will be no dramatic comeback story in this series. The Knicks are playing a vastly superior brand of basketball, dominating the interior, sharing the rock, and getting contributions from every single player who steps onto the hardwood. Cleveland’s spirits were visually crushed in the fourth quarter of Game 3, and they simply do not possess the perimeter defence or depth to stop New York’s high-octane transition attack. 

Expect Brunson to dictate a fast tempo early as the Knicks comfortably cover the small spread, secure the sweep, and celebrate an Eastern Conference championship on Cleveland’s floor.
