New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers Game 4 Prediction, NBA Odds
The New York Knicks will have a chance to wrap up their Eastern Conference semifinal series in the form of a sweep when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers for Game 4 on Sunday afternoon. New York won each of the first two contests at home and then went into Philadelphia on Friday and coasted to a 108-94 victory.
Head-to-head success is nothing new for the Knicks, who have won 10 of the last 12 matchups dating back to the 2023-24 playoffs. That includes a sweep of both regular-season meetings in Philly just a few months ago – 112-109 in January and 138-89 in February.
Knicks vs. 76ers NBA Betting Odds
The Knicks were favoured by 7.5 points at home in Game 1 when the 76ers had Joel Embiid before giving 10.5 points in Game 2 when Embiid was sidelined. New York was a +3.5 road underdog on Friday, but Embiid’s return did not matter much and following another dominant performance the visiting team is now favoured in this series for the first time. Following a pair of low-scoring affairs, the total is back down to its 212.5 number that we saw in the series opener before it climbed to 213.5 and 214.5 in Game 2 and Game 3, respectively.
New York is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games and 4-1 ATS in the last five head-to-head encounters. The under is 7-3 in the 76ers’ last 10 overall and 6-3 in their last nine matchups with the Knicks.
New York Knicks
New York has been cooking with gas since briefly trailing Atlanta 2-1 in the opening round of the playoffs. Head coach Mike Brown’s crew has won six consecutive contests – five by double-digits and none by fewer than six points. During this stretch it has dominated games by 29, 51 and 39 points.
How do we account for this level of dominance? First and foremost, star point guard Jalen Brunson is playing stellar basketball. He has led the Knicks in scoring on every occasion so far in this season, delivering 35, 26 and 33 points. Brunson is shooting 52.9 percent from the floor through three outings and he also dished out nine assists on Friday.
Philadelphia 76ers
Joel Embiid tweaked a knee in Game 7 against Boston and has also been dealing with a hip injury. There always seems to be something wrong with Philadelphia’s all-star center, so it’s really no surprise that he has missed half of the games so far in this series. Embiid returned on Friday, but he contributed a modest 18 points and six rebounds in 35 minutes while going 0-for-4 from three-point range.
It has been an all-around rough series for Philly, especially on the offensive end of the floor. A meager 98 ppg average is due in large part to Tyrese Maxey’s struggles. Maxey averaged 28.3 ppg during the regular season but is scoring just 18.7 ppg in the conference semis on 2-for-12 shooting from deep.
NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Knicks vs. 76ers?
The Sixers got basically zero rest in between series after outlasting the Celtics in seven games. You can’t really blame them for starting slow, but that they still haven’t found their footing against the Knicks is cause for concern. That Embiid’s return did not make any real difference in Game 3 is especially alarming. Even in Philadelphia, it feels like the red-hot Knicks should finish the job. Let’s go with Knicks 109, 76ers 105.
