New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction, NBA Odds

They meet in Philadelphia this evening at 7:30 pm ET. This is the fourth and final regular-season meeting between the teams. The Knicks hold a 2-1 advantage, with the road team winning all three contests.

The Knicks recently won eight in a row, but dropped a result for the second time in three games with a 137-134 overtime defeat at home to Indiana last night. Jalen Brunson had 40 points and eight assists, and Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 22 points and 14 rebounds.

The 76ers have been aided by the recent return of Joel Embiid. Philadelphia recently enjoyed a five-game winning streak but just lost for the second time in three games, falling 135-118 at Portland on Monday. Tyrese Maxey had 30 points as Embiid sat out to rest his knee following a 33-point effort in a victory over Phoenix on Saturday.

Knicks vs. 76ers NBA Betting Odds

New York has won seven of 10 in the series and is 5-0 against the spread in its last five games on the road against the Sixers. However, the Knicks are just 10-16 ATS on the road this season. Philadelphia is 4-2 against the spread in its last six games, and the Sixers have won four of five at home, although they are just 15-13 there this season.

The Knicks have played to the Under in 10 of 13, including four of five on the road.

These teams have cashed the Under four times in the past five meetings, including two of three this season. This is the first time in four games this season that the Knicks are listed as the underdog (+115 on the money line). Philadelphia won twice as a dog, and New York covered a one-point spread last month.

New York Knicks

The Knicks haven’t won an NBA title since the Nixon Administration, but they are playing up with some of the best right now. The trio of Brunson, Towns, and OG Anunoby is humming right now. However, Anunoby (toe) and Mitchell Robinson (left ankle) missed the loss to the Pacers and are questionable for this evening. Vital reserve Deuce McBride (sports hernia) is out for the rest of the regular season.

Brunson, ninth in the NBA in scoring at 27.4 points per game, is averaging 28 points against the Sixers this season. He’s put up 40+ in New York’s last two home games, but has scored just 21.6 PPG in their last five road contests.

Philadelphia 76ers

Philly is a little better than New York, having last won during Reagan’s first term, and a healthy 76ers squad has a legit path to glory this year… if Embiid can stay on the court. The seven-time All-Star and 2022-23 MVP is averaging 26.6 points and 7.5 rebounds in 31 games and is the perfect complement inside to Maxey, who is averaging 29.3 points against New York this year.

The Sixers are 19-12 when Embiid plays, and he’s averaged 32 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games against the Knicks. Key reserves Quentin Grimes and Dominick Barlow both missed the Trail Blazers loss due to illness and are questionable tonight.

NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Knicks vs. 76ers?

It doesn’t make sense for these Eastern Conference contenders to conclude their season series in February, but here we are. Embiid slapped around the Knicks’ interior players in the last outing to the tune of 38 points and 11 rebounds with a couple of monstrous dunks.

However, the Knicks still won, 112-109. Look for a similar result tonight in Philly, with New York triumphing, 114-107.
