Knicks vs. 76ers NBA Betting Odds

Friday’s matchup marks the first meeting of the season between these long-time Eastern Conference rivals. These teams split four games last season, and four of eight overall since the Sixers saw a 15-game head-to-head win streak snapped. Philadelphia goes into the weekend on an impressive 14-3 SU run, 13-14 ATS, and have seen each of their seven recent home victories come by double-digit margins.

The Knicks padded a respectable 10-4 SU home record with this week’s two wins, but have emerged as a massive disappointment on the road. The club has fallen to defeat by an average margin of 10.7 points during their current road slide, and have lost eight of 12 away from Madison Square Garden. Overall, the Knicks have been an inconsistent bet this season, and have failed to cover in three straight games during their current 9-12 ATS run. The Knicks have also lost four straight while pegged as road underdogs by at least six points, and are a meager 2-7-1 ATS in their past 10.

New York Knicks

OG Anunoby matched his best performance of the season under the bucket in Wednesday’s victory over the Bulls. Acquired over the holidays in a blockbuster deal that sent RJ Barrett to the Toronto Raptors, contributed eight rebounds on Wednesday, and has averaged 14 points in his two appearances to date with the Knicks. Once again, the duo of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle led the attack. Randle dropped a game-high 35 points, and has averaged 35 points and 9.8 boards over his past four games, while Brunson recorded a second straight double-double with 31 points and 13 assists.

Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embiid immediately made his presence felt in his return to action this week after missing four games due to an ankle injury. Embiid led the way with a game-high 31 points in Tuesday’s victory over Chicago, and also recorded team highs with 15 rebounds and 10 assists for his second triple-double of the season. Overall, the reigning NBA MVP has averaged 39.3 points per game in 10 outings since the beginning of December. Embiid has also tallied an average of 33 points in five appearances against the Knicks, including three double-doubles, and is available as a lucrative +825 bet on the NBA player props to post another triple-double on Friday.
