Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 4 Prediction, NBA Odds
The Miami Heat hold a 2-1 series lead entering game three. However, the Atlanta Hawks battled back during Game 3 and hit a game-winning shot to escape with a narrow one-point victory. This doesn’t mean that they are out of the woods just yet, as Miami could stretch the lead out to 3-1 with a victory in Game 4.
The Hawks seriously can’t afford to lose this matchup here. Which of these teams will be able to come out of here with another win under their belts?
Heat vs. Hawks NBA Betting Odds
The Heat are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 road games. They are also 7-3-1 in their last 11 as a road favorite, so that could bode well here.
As for the Hawks, they have now covered four straight as a home dog and five in a row at home. However, they are just 5-15 ATS in their last 20 when coming off a win.
Miami Heat
The starters for Miami did great once again in Game 3. All of them scored in double-digits except for Kyle Lowry, who posted a six-point, four-rebound and five-assist stat line. However, he was injured and is now a question mark to play in Game 4. If he’s out, it will hamper the Heat – even though they’re a team with depth.
The Heat starters positive plus-minuses except for Jimmy Butler, who was sitting at -1. The same definitely can’t be said about their bench crew, though. Five different guys played off the bench for this team and all of them were in the negatives.
With the Heat relying on the bench even more in Game 3, they need to be better. This is their edge in the series. If the bench guys aren’t delivering – especially with Lowry out and the Heat on the road, this series could easily be 2-2 after Sunday.
Atlanta Hawks
Ironically, it was the complete opposite for Atlanta. The only player with a positive plus-minus was Trae Young, the player who knocked down the game-winner for his squad. All three players off the bench recorded a plus-minus higher than 15 as well. Heading into Game 4, it might not be surprising to see guys like Delon Wright and Onyeka Okongwu hit the floor more often. They need as much help as they can get from the supporting cast – regardless if it’s John Collins or someone deeper down in the rotation. Wright averaged just 4.4 points per game this season but scored 13 in Game 3.
One other thing that Atlanta is hoping to see is the return of Clint Capela. He has been hit with the questionable tag ahead of this upcoming matchup and could see the floor for the first time in the series. That would give this team a big edge.
