The Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks will face off on Saturday night and it’ll be the first time they’ve met since late December. These two teams met up in the postseason last year with the Heat pulling off the upset series win over the Bucks and with the playoffs again approaching, this could be an important measuring stick game for Milwaukee. With only two games remaining for each team and playoff seeding on the line, both teams should be riding into this one with some intensity. Can the Heat beat the Bucks once again, or will Milwaukee take this one?

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Heat are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall and are in a good position to improve those numbers in this one. They have been putting the pieces together quite nicely as of late and seem to be on a roll with their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are in a similar position as they are 4-0 ATS in their past four home games against teams with a winning road record. They are also in a good spot, winning seven of their last eight contests.

Miami is a 3-point favourite to win on the NBA odds with a total of 232.

Miami Heat

The Heat are finally putting the pieces together after a rough 28-28 start to their season. They are now 39-31 on the year, good for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. Miami is on a four-game winning streak and they have won seven of their last eight games because of their depth and toughness on the floor. Arguably the most important player on the floor for this matchup will be Jimmy Butler. He has missed quite a bit of time, playing in only 52 games on the year, but he still holds averages of 21.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game. The team has already clinched a playoff spot but only one game separates the fourth seed from the sixth seed out in the East. Miami is definitely going to want to win this matchup to avoid dropping down the standings.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks are in a more favourable position than the Heat with their 45-25 record cementing them no lower than the third seed in the conference. However, they are still just two games out of the No. 1 seed and one game behind the No. 2 spot. If things go well for them here, they could see themselves moving up the ranks. Milwaukee has won seven of their last eight games and are rolling behind the MVP caliber play of Giannis Antetokounmpo. He averages 28.4 points, 11 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game while adding on a monster 40-point outburst against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday. Similar to the Heat, playoff seeding could end up seeing the Bucks play with more intensity. Without a doubt this game will have a playoff atmosphere for both teams.
