The Lakers are reeling in the wake of Friday’s 127-113 loss to Memphis that marked their third straight defeat by double-digit margins, and leaves them lagging in 11th place in the conference standings, a half-game back of 10th-place Golden State. Conversely, the Clippers now enjoy a five-game straight up win streak after rolling to a 111-95 win in New Orleans on Friday, and have emerged as one of the hottest teams in the NBA while winning 19 of their past 24.

The Clippers sport strengthen -115 odds of covering as 4.5-point favourites on the NBA Sunday odds, and the total is pegged at 231.5.

Clippers vs. Lakers NBA Betting Odds

The Clippers have been dominant at times during their current extended run of success. LA has claimed victory by an average margin of 12.4 points during their current win streak, and with 12 of the victories on their current 14-2 SU run coming by at least nine points, the Clippers have covered in 12 of their past 14 contests. While Sunday is technically a road game for the Clippers, it is tough to ignore their record at Crypto.com Arena, where they have gone 14-5 SU. However, they dropped a 130-125 decision when they faced the Lakers as the road team on November 1, snapping a 11-game SU win head-to-head win streak, 10-1 ATS.

The Lakers’ struggles at both ends of the court continued in Friday’s loss to the Grizzlies. The Los Angeles offence sputtered during the second and fourth quarters while the defence struggled to contain a Grizzlies attack that converted 53.7% from the field and scored 69 points after recess. The Lakers have now mustered just 106 points per game during their current 0-4 swoon, and have allowed at least 124 points five times while losing 10 of 13. Los Angeles has also lost four of five at home over that stretch, and not sport a dismal 6-13 SU home record.

Los Angeles Clippers

Paul George has emerged as a model of consistency during the Clippers’ resurgence this season. The veteran big man led the club in scoring for the fourth times in six games while dropping 24 points along with seven rebounds on Friday night, and has scored at least 20 13 times while averaging 23 points in the past 14 games. George has also pulled down seven boards in three of his past four outings, and is worth a look on the NBA Player Props as a -140 bet to record OVER 28.5 points+rebounds on Sunday night.

Los Angeles Lakers

Friday’s loss to the Grizzlies sparked a furious response from LeBron James, who is quickly growing frustrated with the lacklustre play from this team. The King has held up his end of the bargain, averaging 28.5 points per game over his past four outings, capped by a game-high 32-point performance on Friday. Anthony Davis chipped in with 31 points, but failed to record a double-double for the third time in eight games. Austin Reaves contributed 19 points and a career-high 12 assists, but the remainder of the Lakers lineup chipped in just 31 total points. Taurean Prince and Cam Reddish have particularly struggled, combining to score just 31 total points in the past four games in which they both started.
