The Clippers are road underdogs for Tuesday’s Game 1 showdown in Salt Lake City, with the Jazz having enjoyed five days off after eliminating the Memphis Grizzlies in five games in their first-round showdown.

Clippers vs. Jazz NBA Playoff Odds

Utah comes in as one of the top ATS plays in the NBA this season, having gone 45-31-1; that mark is even more impressive at home, where the Jazz are a sizzling 25-13-1. They’ve covered in six of their past seven games, and have won five consecutive home meetings against the Clippers. Los Angeles is no slouch, however, when it comes to against-the-spread prowess, having gone 4-1 ATS over their last five to improve to 43-35-1 for the season.

Sports Interaction customers are nearly split on the spread for Game 1, with 51 percent siding with the Clippers. The total lean is much more one-sided, with nearly 80 percent of bettors taking the O220.5 at -110. The Clippers are on an extended run of Unders, having gone 6-13 O/U over their previous 19 games. The Jazz, on the other hand, saw every game against Memphis surpass the total and are 6-1 to the Over in their past seven at home.

Los Angeles Clippers

Having been taken to the limit by a plucky Mavericks side led by an incredible performance from Luka Doncic, the Clippers face an altogether different challenge in Utah. The Jazz won two of three meetings during the regular season and were full value for their first-place finish in the West, coming into the postseason with the league’s best scoring margin (plus-9.2). Additionally, the Clippers shot just 29.7 percent from 3-point range in three meetings with the Jazz.

Utah Jazz

There isn’t a deeper team in the NBA than the Jazz, who have a pair of All-Stars and one of the most underappreciated point guards in the league among their starters and a perennial Sixth Man challenger off the bench. The key matchup to watch in Game 1: How the Clippers handle superstar center Rudy Gobert. He averaged 14.3 points and 14.7 rebounds in three meetings with L.A. and won’t have to contend with Serge Ibaka (back), who has been ruled out.
