The duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George should create some trouble on Sunday for the equally dynamic combination of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

The Los Angeles Clippers will visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday in a game many feel could be an NBA Finals preview. Milwaukee enters this game on a four-game winning streak and sits atop of the Eastern Conference. Their opponents sit atop the Western Conference but have only won three out of their last six games. Can the Bucks extend their winning streak or will the Clippers cut it down?

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Clippers are 4-1 against the spread in their past five games when coming in as the road underdog, but they are facing arguably their toughest test yet. With both of these teams possibly playing all of their starters, it will be a test between two of the top teams in each conference.

Meanwhile, the Over is 5-0 in the Bucks past five matchups when coming off a straight up win in the previous game. That number is bound to improve once again as the Bucks have so much explosiveness on the offensive end, equal to the talent the Clippers have. It also helps when the Bucks haven’t been terrific on the defensive end lately and it has caused them to score more points than they should need to. Expect this game to be high scoring.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers haven’t been reliable as of late at the offensive end of the court, but after putting up 122 points in their last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, they could be riding some momentum. Kawhi Leonard led the team that game with 30 points while Lou Williams added 17 points from the bench. They could face some problems when going up against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, although they have the perfect duo to try and combat them with Paul George and Leonard. This team lives through those two players and will need an overall fantastic game from each of them on both ends in order to win this contest against a team that has aspirations of making the NBA Finals. Leonard is averaging 26.9 points, 1.5 steals, five assists and 6.2 rebounds per game for Los Angeles and putting himself as an MVP candidate. With most of their roster healthy and ready to go, outside of Patrick Patterson (he is questionable to play), they could pick up a meaningful win here.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks lost just 17 games last season and 22 the year before, so the fact that they’re already sitting on 13 losses at 20-13 is surprising. They’ve been nothing short of ordinary, but they might be getting into a groove. They’ve won four in a row and should get a boost on Sunday with the return of Jrue Holdiay. Holiday is averaging 16.4 points, 1.9 steals and 5.4 assists per game for the Bucks, but he has missed the last eight matchups, so that could explain some of the Bucks’ recent struggles. Not only will he help their struggling defence, but he can take some much-needed pressure off of Antetokounmpo’s shoulders. Antetokounmpo has dropped more than 35 points in his past three games, putting together yet another MVP caliber season and looks unstoppable when driving to the rim. However, this is a playoff-like showdown and he’s struggled in these types of contests. We’ll see if the Bucks get enough help from their cast to take pressure off of him.
