The Heat closed out a four-game road trip with Friday’s 102-86 loss in Brooklyn and have remained in the hunt for a spot among the top six in the East despite losing eight of their past 13 games. The Celtics travel to South Florida after rolling to a 131-104 win in New York on Saturday, which extended their current win streak on the road to five games.

The Heat are set to hit the hardwood as 4.5-point road favourites on the Monday NBA odds. The Heat trail as +155 underdogs on the NBA moneyline and the total is set at 217.5.

Celtics vs. Heat NBA Betting Odds

Monday night’s matchup is the second of four regular season meetings between these Eastern Conference rivals. The Celtics have taken four straight from Miami in regular season action, capped by a decisive 108-89 win in Boston back on December 2 and have now limited the Heat to just 102.8 points per game over their past five regular season clashes. However, the Celtics have been a betting disappointment when facing the Heat, covering the spread just twice in their past six head-to-head dates and have gone 1-5 straight up and against the spread in their past six versus Miami when favoured by five or fewer points.

Boston Celtics

The Celtics never trailed while turning in a dominant performance in Saturday’s win over the Knicks, limiting New York to just 19 points in the first quarter, and have now surrendered under 20 points in the opening frame in two of their past three outings. With wins in their past five, the Celtics now sport a league-best 21-6 record on the road. However, injuries have emerged as a big concern for the defending champions. Jrue Holiday will miss a third straight game on Monday due to a shoulder injury, and while Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have not missed any recent action, the superstar duo was absent from Monday morning’s shootaround, leaving them both questionable for Monday’s night matchup. The loss of Tatum would be a blow for this club. The Celtics leading scorer is coming off a 40-poinht performance versus the Knicks and has averaged 23 points over his past four appearances against Miami.

Miami Heat

The Heat have done little to boost their playoff hopes in recent weeks, recording consecutive wins just once during a 5-8 run that includes just two wins in five home dates. Miami is now coming off their lowest scoring performance of the season in Friday’s 102-86 loss to the Nets and are in desperate need of more production out of their starters, who averaged just 10.6 points while shooting just 34.4% from the field in that contest. Despite shooting just 27.3% for 15 points on Friday, Tyler Herro remains the Heat’s biggest producer. Herro has averaged 23 points per game over his past four home appearances and tallied 30 points twice in his past six outings.
