Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors Game 6 Prediction, NBA Playoff Odds

The home team is perfect in this first-round series between the Raptors and Cavaliers as the action returns to Toronto for Game 6 on Friday night.

It looked like Cleveland would run away with a possible sweep after double-digit wins at home in Games 1 and 2. However, the Raptors battled back, shutting down the Cavs’ offence in two home wins of their own.

Can Toronto stay hot in the Six, or will Cleveland close things out in Game 6?

The Cavaliers are 3.5-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with the total pegged at 206.5.

Cavaliers vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

The line for all the games in this series has been remarkably consistent. The Cavs have been 3.5-point favourites in all three games played in Toronto and 8.5-point favourites in three Cleveland games.

That’s math even I can figure out as it essentially means the Raptors would be five-point underdogs in a neutral site game between these teams.

If you believe Toronto can beat the Cavaliers twice in a row for a second time this series, now’s the time to back them as the Dinos are heavy +1000 series underdogs on the NBA futures board. That doesn’t leave much value for a Cleveland squad priced at -1000.

Trailing 3-2 in the series, it’s not surprising to see the Raptors with the longest NBA championship odds of all remaining teams at a ridiculous +100,000. Conversely, the Cavaliers have the fourth-shortest odds at +1400.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Cleveland found another gear in Game 5, relying on depth and clutch production rather than the superstar duo of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden. Dennis Schroder came through with 11 points in the fourth quarter, while Evan Mobley hit two massive 3-pointers in the final frame. Mobley and Harden each finished with 23 points, while Schroder and Mitchell each had 19.

Schroder finding his game is key for the Cavs as it adds one more elite option to a team that is already much healthier than Toronto. While Schroder went off in Game 5, I’m looking at Mobley in Game 6. Mobley has mostly been guarded by Brandon Ingram over the last couple of games and with Ingram’s status in limbo, there should be room for Mobley to cook.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors blew a big opportunity in Game 5 after leading 74-67 at halftime. RJ Barrett led the way with a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Ja’Kobe Walter had 20 points and Jamal Shead added 18. Scottie Barnes had his least productive outing of the series with 17 points.

The big concern for Toronto right now is the health of Barnes and Ingram. Barnes appeared to injury his quad on Wednesday and although he stayed in the game, he was noticeably limping in the second half. Ingram exited the game entirely with right heel inflammation, managing just one point in 11 minutes. While it’s too early to say if either players’ status for Game 6 is in question, it seems more likely Barnes will play and Ingram could sit.
